2024 Training With The Ooze Crew

They also did a kicking drill before @HKTigerB got there called (EKP), 3 groups in each 3rd of the ground, mainly short sharp keeping off type kicks and the occasional long kick to target to switch play. 100% there is way more focus on kicking, hopefully it bares fruit.
Wondering what EKP is short for? maybe Exact Kicking Precision?
I will agree with HK that JNR is looking somewhat better.
My boy Tom Brown continues his promising pre-season.
Kosi and Miller had a bit of a coming together, for just a moment they didn't think too much of each other:cool:
Oliver Hayes-Brown did not like my Wolfmother nickname and has shaved it all off :( ;)
As HK mentioned a few boys that they are easing back in mainly train the Monday and Friday and also more players are managed on the Wednesday but for most, today was still a solid session.
Samson Ryan took a couple of good grabs and pin point by foot.
Balta has come back leaner.
Bauer was one of the managed players somewhat today but rest assured he is pretty much back in full training as in previous sessions he looked good, (this is a revelation because I have never highlighted him before and when I had I would say his is poor and sloppy at training, my opinion later validated by Dimma who publicly stated Bauer was not a good trainer).
No Nank today and don't think I spotted DRioli, (hard to tell as no number wearing and they all train in black singlets and half in caps).
A sneaky shout out to Kaleb Smith, (who is manly training Monday's and Friday's), he has showed some impressive snippets in previous sessions, run and carry off half back has been excellent.
Well done Julius also. Watching that video of a West Australian kid picking up and driving the 2 recruits from Tulla to Richmond shows some good commitment and leadership qualities in Smith. Watch this space stuff.

Hopper has pretty much been doing everything.
Breakout contenders or will take a leap forward, 1) Sonz 2) Cumberland 3) Brown

That's a great combo for breakouts & great to hear about Hopper as well.
Recruiter Matthew Clarke was as excited about Smith as anyone I've heard him speak about. at Club 80. Fingers crossed we've got a beauty.
I recall the Club being very excited about him, especially his attitude towards being injured etc last yr, they were apparently very impressed with him.

Getting Richmond to drill routine lace out passes will deserve a Nobel prize if Ooze can pull it off.

Which one Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Literature or Peace ?

It would create peace amongst Richmond supporters but I suspect it may defy the laws of Physics :D

Kosi will be playing, nothing surer
I think you are all overestimating what Koschitzke will bring.
The Hawks are supposed to have offered him 1 yr contract at less than $200. Code for look elsewhere.
We needed to make sure we had a further option if Lynch re injured and Koschitzke was the best available.
Hope he does well but I wouldn’t bet on it.

I’ll tell you one thing, I’m certainly not overestimating his abilities. Wasn’t overly keen at us targeting him at all, but from all accounts, he crashes packs and from viewing footage of some games he’s played, he can clunk a mark, that’s for sure. Kicking can be dicey but he’s got the best coach to tidy that aspect of his game up.
He’s a tall mobile forward that we recruited to replace a retiring Jack. He will play straight away, no doubt in my mind.

Good to see we are placing more emphasis on kicking skills, for as long as I can remember we have been one of the poorest skilled team in the league.

In saying that however, hope we recapture some of our dynasty traits such as pressure on the ball carrier, swarming the contest, and link up play with a chain of handballs.

The same traits McRae took to Collingwood which ultimately won them the flag.

And GWS took, that went within a point of beating them in a prelim.

It would take a break through in team chemistry to make it happen in a game though ………….. it would cause the league to invent new and ground breaking medicine if it were to successfully combat their anti Richmond rules ………………. It would cause a literal genius for the media to select the appropriate prose to describe it accurately without bias one would have thought…….
