2024 - List Management

I'm trying to determine how many list spots we will have.

Campbell Grey
Cumberland
Naismith
Dusty
Grimes
Coulthard
Colina
Pickets

Then I expect two of Bolton, Rioli, Baker and Graham to go.

10 spots on various parts of the list. We will perhaps take 5 in the draft but I suspect we need to trade for some experience as well.

isn't colina on special list? Why delist Campbell Grey? we should have 8 (includes Rioli, Baker, Bolton & Graham leaves)

McIntosh
Dow

That's an easy 13. I'm tipping all four of the boys wanting trades or signing elsewhere go.

The only one I could see getting one year is Cumberland but I would get rid of him anyway.

We need to as always be scouring the state leagues for blokes that can bridge us for two to three years.

They are out there. But besides Bolton and Roili, did anyone leaving really play a big role in 2024? Nope.

Martin and Grimes were away from the club for large chunks of the year as well.

The above would give us 8 picks across the respective end of season drafts. About right.

Is Dow safe? Would delist him as well. Sonsie saved by his contract.

Thats 11.
Your maths may be wrong, but i reckon the rest is right.
Gives us 8 spots to fill.
Probably 5 early picks then 3 late/rookie picks- including a state leaguer or 2.

Kosi has 2 more, he's contracted to 2026.
My best mate is his uncle , told me at the time Hawks offered 1 on bugger all money & we 2 with a slight bump up in $

Even as late as the recent Pies game I asked him again & he said end of next year out of contract so needed a big year next year.

I forget to mention Dow. I think he gets the chop as well.

Dow might get a reprieve.

All depends how many draft picks we demand this year for those wanting out vs how many we want for next years draft.

Watch jealous Copyingwood try and beat us at trade week. They’ll be watching our every move desperate to get one up on us.

Terrible idea. Go get me a State league mid that ban strengthens the VFL side and able to play spot duty in the AFL with the potential to become a full-timer.

We know what Dow is, there is no improvement left. Go get another ticket in the lotto.
