Don’t know what markets you are involved in but one transaction does not make a market.Strawman argument.
In the real world the market always determines price.

That heatmap doesn't scream "lots of upside" to me. Am I missing something?View attachment 24913
Heres Smillie heat map Not as bad as some make out for a pick between 3 - 10
Seems he has alot of upside

Interesting article about Hotton at the bottom of the Dodson article. played on Jagga early in the year 32 disposals 4 goals.https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl...world-took-a-wicked-turn-20241112-p5kpxi.html
Article in The Age that we are heavily linked to the SA ruck Dodson
But it's one game and it was prior to his ACL, risky with any pick inside the top 20.Interesting article about Hotton at the bottom of the Dodson article. played on Jagga early in the year 32 disposals 4 goals.
Gerryn looks more like a Richmond type, the last time we had a Dodson was around the time of Strawbs O'Dwyer. I do like Dodson however, high production rucks with a good contested game are generally sound selections. Big upside too, he's a basketballer so the learning curve has only just hit the vertical axis.Love to snag Hotton, prefer Gerryn to Dodson.
And then we will complete the Greek tragedy by selecting Tauru. Will say it again. Norf are between a rock and a hard place.
Just like WCE during trade week, they have the choice of having to eat up a lot ....or eat up a lot less.
They can't just keep 2 and use it on Tauru and that's it. Done. They have to get another pick in this draft somehow and that's where they'll have to suck it up a bit in a trade with someone for the sake of avoiding a totally overs and inefficient outcome.
And they will. Just watch. They'll accept a trade with someone, of some sort or another, on draft night.
Was just discussed, you do that if Smith or Langford were guaranteed at 6. Aside from the pressure of pick 1 it doesn't matter about the pick number assigned to each player, that's just for the history buffs or the media agitators. Just need to focus on the net result. Why don't we pick Tauru at 1. Then with Tauru gone offer North pics 10 & 11 for pick 2 and then we have
1 2 and 6.
Just another thought on the possibilities
They don’t have to be seen to win the pick trade by those outside their club. Will say it again. Norf are between a rock and a hard place.

I agree red , but unfortunately for us they will trade their f1 for the best pick available in the top 20. 18 would be perfect for us but I reckon gws will get the job done with pick 16Will say it again. Norf are between a rock and a hard place.
