I agree. I can’t comment on him as a player but if he is as promising as they say I reckon he e should take him.
You would not bid on Marshall @ 1 Ashcroft @ 1, then Marshall @ 10. Marshall is a very good player. Brisbane would then be faced with the dilemma of going into 2025 deficit or losing Marshall.
I dont reckon any of it is his rankings.
He speaks to club mgr and player mgrs, so its not his views.

Lalor wasnt mentioned in the media in the top 5 until a club thought Richmond would take him.
I don’t know these guys but what I want is a 200 cm plus player who is very competitive as a ruck, very mobile and takes a part of general play and can mark the ball.
These are the guys that kill us.
Dodson has a midfielder element, I think he will be a busy player & not a liability in general play. His contested game is also very good, his kicking is the area I think needs some attention, the ball drop needs more fluency, but I think that will come in time. He's probably just adjusting to being tall as well, this is where I see upside.
Guess his ceiling is periods of games where he dominates play, compared to his overall general performance during games. They watch a hell of a lot of these young blokes performances over the last few years and there'd be bursts or qtrs where some of these kids can dominate n turn a game on its head, hence an elite ceiling.
I have no idea how that mob come to the conclusions they do, but there feels like a fair bit of guess/ hope work invovled.
I listened to it and took from it that North will take Tauru at 2 and use their F1 to get another pick, maybe GWS at 15.
Twomey was asked if North could take Tauru at 2 and he said yes.
I reckon they will take him there. They are desperate for talls and they have their heart set on him.

I really hope North keep pick 2, take Tauru and it falls this way. I think there is a chance. Lalor, Smith and Smillie feels good. I reckon I could even cope with FOS running around in a Carlton jumper to get those three mids.
You are right but also they did say they could take best available. I just don’t think North will be stupid enough to reach for him with other better rated prospects on the board.
But if they went with Tauru at 2, then it will be interesting if we still go Smillie or take Jagga?

There are still a few who think we may take Jagga at 1 or at the very least it is clear he has been in the conversation.
My feeling is we rank him very highly in the top echelon of 4 with Lalor, FOS and Langford and can’t see us not taking him at 6 if he is there.
It’s clear we like Smillie but not at all cost

Too many people jumping on he's another RCD, when there's a mountain of evidence across the industry he's a valid top end pick. I can't recall anyone rating RCD as a potential first.
Contested marking a work in progress but given his basketball background I'd say there's still room for improvement.
He's a lot better than RCD, that's not in dispute. I think his upside is Tom Green with slightly better disposal, that's probably the industry thinking. As a baseline, most of the best mids start with a ready-made tank, I reckon that could be the biggest stumbling block although Cripps went from a 13 beep to winning a couple of Brownlow medals.

Back to the draft, there are only 3 top 3 picks. WC were in the market for multiple first round picks and paid a very high price imo. Desperation for multiple 1s forced them to part with pick 3! We know Norths want two 1s. Made it very clear that 2 is on the table. Wonder how desperate they are? That’s the key.
Sin, when you have 2 of the top 3 picks up for sale in any draft yr then I reckon a transaction of one of those is a mighty fine market indicator.
In any case, we shall all see soon enough.
