It didn’t say he played on Jagga. It said it was in the game against Jagga Smiths oakleigh.Interesting article about Hotton at the bottom of the Dodson article. played on Jagga early in the year 32 disposals 4 goals.

I agree. I can’t comment on him as a player but if he is as promising as they say I reckon he e should take him.I actually wouldnt mind this. He looks like he gets a fair bit of the ball around the ground. Sampson is tops a 50 /50 to make it to be honest. Looking at the training highlights his body does not seem to have progressed. His arms look the same as when he started at the club
You would not bid on Marshall @ 1 Ashcroft @ 1, then Marshall @ 10. Marshall is a very good player. Brisbane would then be faced with the dilemma of going into 2025 deficit or losing Marshall.I don't consider it a secret deal, just an arrangement that would logically evolve out of a negotiation in this type of scenario where Tigers have helped them get their man. Brisbane are going to match the bid regardless so there's no risk bidding on Ashcroft even with lack of evaluation if the Tigers want to make Brisbane pay. No idea about Marshall but that is someone we would end up with if bidding for him at #1.
I dont reckon any of it is his rankings.Twomey is a knee jerker ,he was raving about Jagga for a little while, and then in one of his podcasts a week later ,he blows him off about how damaging his possessions aren't and possessions aren't everything ,and then goes over to his new flavour of the week Langford .
I get the power rankings ,although no football has been played for a little while ,and if you go through stats of lots of player's ,lm sure quite a lot are missing from rankings .
It's his ratings ,l would love to have champion data's rating or power rankings ,not that there a good assessment of a player's ability.
I don’t know these guys but what I want is a 200 cm plus player who is very competitive as a ruck, very mobile and takes a part of general play and can mark the ball.Gerryn looks more like a Richmond type, the last time we had a Dodson was around the time of Strawbs O'Dwyer. I do like Dodson however, high production rucks with a good contested game are generally sound selections. Big upside too, he's a basketballer so the learning curve has only just hit the vertical axis.
Dodson has a midfielder element, I think he will be a busy player & not a liability in general play. His contested game is also very good, his kicking is the area I think needs some attention, the ball drop needs more fluency, but I think that will come in time. He's probably just adjusting to being tall as well, this is where I see upside.I don’t know these guys but what I want is a 200 cm plus player who is very competitive as a ruck, very mobile and takes a part of general play and can mark the ball.
These are the guys that kill us.
Guess his ceiling is periods of games where he dominates play, compared to his overall general performance during games. They watch a hell of a lot of these young blokes performances over the last few years and there'd be bursts or qtrs where some of these kids can dominate n turn a game on its head, hence an elite ceiling. How the hell can "ceiling" be a statistical analysis data point. How do we measure that? Its just one guys opinion
I have no idea how that mob come to the conclusions they do, but there feels like a fair bit of guess/ hope work invovled.Guess his ceiling is periods of games where he dominates play, compared to his overall general performance during games. I listened to it and took from it that North will take Tauru at 2 and use their F1 to get another pick, maybe GWS at 15.Listening to this, I think the top 20 is as follows;
Pick 1: Lalor Rich
Pick 2: Ashcroft Bris
Pick 3: FOS North
Pick 4: Draper Carl
Pick 5: Smith Ade
Pick 6: Langford Mel
Pick 7: Smillie Rich
Pick 8: Reid St.Kilda
Pick 9: Kako Ess
Pick 10: Lombard GC
Pick 11 Tauru St. Kilda
Pick 12: Armstrong Melb
Pick 13: Allan Ric
Pick 14: J Whitlock Rich
Pick 15: Travaglia WCE
Pick 16: Shanahan Port
Pick 17: M Whitlocks Freo
Pick 18:Lindsay GWS
Pick 19: Berry GWS
Pick 20 Marshall Bris
I really hope North keep pick 2, take Tauru and it falls this way. I think there is a chance. Lalor, Smith and Smillie feels good. I reckon I could even cope with FOS running around in a Carlton jumper to get those three mids.I listened to it and took from it that North will take Tauru at 2 and use their F1 to get another pick, maybe GWS at 15.
Twomey was asked if North could take Tauru at 2 and he said yes.
I reckon they will take him there. They are desperate for talls and they have their heart set on him.
My top 10 without any bids is
Lalor - Richmond
Tauru- North
O’Sullivan - Carlton
Draper - Adelaide
Langford - Melbourne
Smith - Richmond
Armstrong- St Kilda
Lindsay- St Kilda
Reid- Melbourne
Smillie - Richmond
You are right but also they did say they could take best available. I just don’t think North will be stupid enough to reach for him with other better rated prospects on the board.I listened to it and took from it that North will take Tauru at 2 and use their F1 to get another pick, maybe GWS at 15.

But if they went with Tauru at 2, then it will be interesting if we still go Smillie or take Jagga?
Can he mark the ball ?Dodson has a midfielder element, I think he will be a busy player & not a liability in general play. Hallelujah. Hive mind indeed.Big Willie Smillie isn't really one of Leysy's - in top 6 to 7 anyway. From than onwards yep absolutely.
But there seems to be a bit of a hive mind on his kicking developing on here? What is that based on? Highlights? Kicking efficiency?
Seen a reasonable amount of him (some more than Leysy) and confident his kicking is fine.
He gets very good distance and actually has really good touch for a big man. He generally weights his kicks very well. Would class him as a good to very good kick.
There are reasons to put some slows on him, but his foot skills aint one of them. In Leysy's half educated opinion anyway.
Contested marking a work in progress but given his basketball background I'd say there's still room for improvement. Can he mark the ball ?
He's a lot better than RCD, that's not in dispute. I think his upside is Tom Green with slightly better disposal, that's probably the industry thinking. As a baseline, most of the best mids start with a ready-made tank, I reckon that could be the biggest stumbling block although Cripps went from a 13 beep to winning a couple of Brownlow medals.Hallelujah. Hive mind indeed.
Too many people jumping on he's another RCD, when there's a mountain of evidence across the industry he's a valid top end pick. I can't recall anyone rating RCD as a potential first.
There are many houses in Brighton ts. Not so many idiots. If a house does not list, it has not gone to market. Not really.
Yes mostly, but there are a lot of variables, and its a small market.
And you are simply not completely correct, in most cases yes, but in a lot of cases no or not quite.
To continue Sins analogy, if a lot of houses get sold in Brighton, one outlier doesn't matter. If only a few get sold, it does. To continue it further, and I've seen this happen, if a Brightonian dies and leaves their house to their kids, they may not care what it sells for, they may all already be wealthy, and there may be 10 of them, which means its split more ways etc etc. They may not have any kids, (I've seen this happen too), so their next of kin is an old workmate who gets a kickback to not list it and sell cheap to a dodgy developer. I could go on all day, point is, usually the market determines price, and definately the ballpark, but often it doesn't.
Its far too simplistic to say Carlton paid this so we should pay that.
Sin, when you have 2 of the top 3 picks up for sale in any draft yr then I reckon a transaction of one of those is a mighty fine market indicator.Don’t know what markets you are involved in but one transaction does not make a market.
Nice. Smoke and mirrors everywhere.Word on the street is the crows interviewed Lalor again today. Maybe other clubs don't feel he is a lock to go to the Tigers anymore.
According to Twavis Cloke, the Crows don't talk alot of smoke and shadows behind the windows.Nice. Smoke and mirrors everywhere.
