2024 Draft Thread

If he has the skill set then why not Number 1?
You could easily mount an argument for pick 1 but O'Sullivan has run and carry to go with the elite kicking, that was my rationale. Lalor is also an elite kick but I don't know his endurance numbers so with that black hole of knowledge I have to peg him behind the other two. Of course I'd love them all and I think that still remains a possibility.

No chance we get all 3 unless we have the first 3-4 picks. All will be gone by pick 5.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we took him with one of our picks in the 20’s.

Going by his highlights what a let down
So many missed kicks did he hit a target didnt get close to kicking a goal dropped marks the ones he took had 2 or 3 grabs
Looks like a pick in the 40s going by his highlights package

Great plan but your suggestion that we might exercise the right to retain pick 6 and take Tauru is likely to *smile* Nth off.
They want him and it is hard to see a scenario, where having taken the two top mids by that stage, that we wouldn’t chose to take him at 6 ourselves.
It depends if the likes of Jagga, Langford etc are still there and if we prioritise very good mids before him.
With the option of taking Kpp further on.
It’s only a suggestion where I thought they might be interested if they wanted to keep F1 but we get p2.
We keep p6 if Tauru already taken, if he’s not it goes to #lolnorf. If he is taken, they get p18, 20, 23

As I said it would take some trust and goodwill.

North came out at the start of trade week saying they were prepared to slide back a couple spots, that's it. They aren't trading pick 2 for multiple teens/ picks in the 20's.
