At least the crap will stop this week.
No more 'How do Geelong continue to do it?"
'Is Scott the best ever?"
'Why Geelong never rebuilds"
'Geelong is leader in the AFL"

It's going to be 1 excuse after another.
Scott's record is resembling Kennys record with the 1flag.

It's a pity we weren't the ones knocking them out again.

There last 6 games (thanks Daddy Hocking)
Brisbane G
Port AO
WC Shitville
Stkilda Telstra Dome
Freo Optus
Adelaide Shitville.

This from the AFL website;

Holmes overcame gastro illness during the week to feature in front of more than 93,000 fans at the MCG, with some off-field Geelong staff hit with COVID during preparations. The two-time premiership coach said the challenges with illness in his group were not "insurmountable.”

It’s already started.
Ffs. Really ? Holmes had 20 possessions in 3 quarters before going off with hamstring tightness. Couldn't have been too sick.

Neale has a bad foot, McInerney double dislocated a shoulder, they're missing Gardiner, McCarthy and Coleman as well.

Shut up media Geelong fanbois. Just shut up.

Got this from BF, so true!

Scott got gifted the 2011 flag from Bomber Thompson who had a very good team winning 2007 and 2009 (losing 2008). So its 1 flag in the last 12 years for Chris Scott and heaps of chokes. Break your heart stuff for the cats. Let's not forget the 4 GF's they lost in 1989, 1992, 1994 and 1995

Chris Scott Record - Preliminary Finals
Win: 3
Loss: 6
Win Strike Rate: 33.3%

Overall - Finals
Win: 14
Loss: 16
Win Strike Rate: 46.6%

Yet the media bang on and on and on about Geelong making top 4 consistently. That means absolutely nothing if you don't win the Premiership. I mean sure, Premierships are hard to win...very difficult....but I reckon they (Geelong) have underachieved since 2011 in my opinion.

They can have their home ground advantage because you can't hide in September. All your holes become bigger.
Take away 2022, Scotts record in finals was abysmal, even the X captain, Ling mentions it during the 2019 finals.
They will always finish top 4 because they get 10-11 games at a ground noone else plays at.
They win 7 there and 7 away
That's 14 already
They have a good season and win 8-10 games and win 7 away.
That's top 1-2

They never finish outside of the top 4.
It's either top 4 or totally miss the 8.

what is Tom Sniper Stewart doing here?

Obviously it’s hard to tell from still shots - but I’m happy to jump to conclusions in comparing this mark with Isaac Heeny’s specie last week

The GWS player Buckley looked like he genuinely tried to soften Heeney’s fall and allow him to land on his feet and avoid serious injury

Proven thug Stewart looks like he wanted to drag Lohmann backwards so that he crash landed on his head - in other words he wanted to cause injury

I always felt whoever won the Giants v Lions game was a decent chance to beat Geelong but I also would have felt more confident if it was the Giants playing them.
The key to beating Geelong is that you have to stop the speed going into their forward line and in the 2nd quarter Geelong got the ball in really quickly a number of times and scored. The inside 50s were very close at halftime but the cats were way more efficient and had a much more open forward line.
In the 2nd half the cats won the inside 50s and got outplayed, it was the Lions who used the corridor and had more space up forward.
I reckon it will be a cracker of a grannie which could go either way.

Remember when they lost multiple Grand Finals in the 80’s & 90’s. Good days.
You know what? I actually felt for them back then. When they won in 2007 I was actually happy for them despite them always thrashing us. 2009 was happy for them as well. Believe it or not , I didn’t mind them winning it in 2011 either. Didn’t mind seeing a first year coach doing well, despite being gifted a team that would have won the flag without a coach. That admiration went out the window once we became successful and that graceless sour little *smile* wouldn’t accept how good we were. Excuse after excuse for why we beat them (the classic was and always is, the game should have been played at OUR home ground, despite having no complaints when playing other blockbuster games at the MCG, hawks Easter Monday for example). Then my admiration turned to loathing once that cheating *smile* SHocking abused his position by manipulating the rules to disadvantage one team and favouring another, then taking up a role at the club that benefited from his corruption.
As far as I’m concerned, every handbaggers loss is a cause for celebration. I don’t care how many finals series they make, until salty and that cheating *smile* go, they can go *smile* themselves

Hmm. Remember when Heeney took that speccy a couple of weeks ago? His opponent actually helped him down so he wouldn’t seriously injure himself on the way down. Won praise in in media and a big thank you from heeneys mum. But I guess he wasn’t as good a bloke as this prick. Polar opposite. Gutless *smile*. Imagine what the consequences would be if lohman seriously got hurt because of what that piece of *smile* did
