When will Bernie go !!

World record 52 turnovers forward half.

Constant seige mentality. Never the team laying siege.
Those were the turnovers we forced the Bombers into making in our forward half. Because we were the team laying siege.

Weeks 1 -5 20 goals, 14, 11, 17 and 12 - Just play ( 5 wins 0 losses)

Weeks 6-10 10 , 11, 10, 10 , 11 - lets make it a scrap ( 1 win 4 losses)
Caddy 2.4. Jack 2.3. Sheds 2.2 and an out on the full. Lloyd 1.2 and an out on the full. We missed sitter after sitter and should have kicked 17. That's the players' fault.

Good work lamby, knew I could rely on you. Did you happen to notice our forwards' inability to kick the leather thing in between the big posts even when given time and a chance to kick over some guy on the mark?

Did you happen to notice you are nit picking over one game when I give you a pattern over 5 games.

Did you also notice that in these last 5 weeks we are playing like we did last year making every game a 50/50 game rather than blow away teams when we get the chance.

Did you notice Dimmer saying in his press conference that it's important to keep your head above water as if Nirvana is being mid table.

Did you notice mid week dimmer said we don't win by ten goals. It's not who we are.

Dimmer is your classic mid table EPL coach like David Moyes who excelled in winning relegation battles year in year out and on good years pushing the top half dozen and producing some upset wins against the big boys. When he got the gig at Man U he was exposed as having little acumen other than triple gruntitude.

Anyway 71 entries and game in the balance with 2 minutes to go. We sneak a win but if we play like that as a template we'll lose as many as we win if not more.

Yay Dimmer!

Did you notice that in the four games we lost our score was down because we were playing stronger teams rather than weaker teams?

And did you notice but for bad kicking against Essendon we would have pumped them by 6-7 goals?

Good one lamby.

We had 35 scoring shots vs Essendon from 72 inside 50's which is 48% scoring efficiency. League average in scoring efficiency is 51%.

So more to it than just missed set shots. Our average over the season is now below league average at 49%. Would say that is now trending in line to what it has in the previous years under dimma.

The problem was we got more of the one pointers and fewer of the six pointers barnzy.

Perhaps this is simplistic, but surely this has a lot to do with the average games of our forwards of <15 (excl jack) and one of them being more liability than asset? We will get better as they get games.

As much as I love a good Beavis bashing I reckon the press really worked well for us last night. If we kicked even half respectably for goal it would've been a an easy win.

Especially against middling teams the press works well because it puts all the onus on the opposition spuds to hit targets. Very similar to what teams have been dong to us over the years. Worsold emphasised in his press conference that Essendon lost the game because they weren't skilled enough to get it out of defence.

I realise it's not pretty to watch, but it means we get to control the tempo.

Akso, I see a lot of people complaining about us bombing in the forward line too much, But it does actually suit our structure of having 4 crumbers in Rioli, Shai, Shank and George/Butler. It's also a vaste improvement on recent years idiotic plan of kicking to the dead pockets in order to get s throw in.

I actually reckon Reiwoldt let us down a bit last night. He got his hands to plenty but spilled marks he'd normally take.
Agree.
But we really need a capable tall in the forward line.
We can't always rely on Jack blitzing every week.
Your right.
It sure is a relief not kicking to the pocket nowadays.
That ridiculous tactic seemed to last for a zillion seasons.
Would that be a Dimma change or a Leppacarra?

Did you notice we were more than 5 goals up against GWS and Bulldogs until the handbrake was applied?

What was the moment the handbrake was applied lamby? When Dimma directed the players to start missing easy goals or when he directed them to panic when the opposition started to get its run on?

You are in the inner sanctum. When was it?

"We are not a team that wins by 10 goals" - D Hardwick.

Your question is better directed to Damian than myself but it appears self explanatory to those with grey matter, so perhaps ask one of of those people to help with your query.

Im well aware what the results were.

Instead of drinking your own bathwater ,do yourself a favour & get to listen to Neil Balme ,ask him the question about Dimma's coaching & the AFL in general, you might learn a thing or 2 from a bloke who knows more than most about the game

Right so you made it up. Again.

Carry on

Hang on, you can't get away with that. Don't run and hide.

Surely you must understand what "We are not a team that wins by 10 goals" means in terms of game style, offensive intent and the willingness to have players put their foot on their opponent's throat.

Do you actually understand that?

I wouldn't expect Neil to be anything but supportive, It's actually in his job description.

No you made up the handbrake. Made. It. Up. Again.

Don't run and hide mutton.

Besides, with a fwd line of Jack, Elton and kids, and the fact that to win by 10 goals we have to kick 20, you reckon that side is capable of that?

You can cherry pick quotes all you like, but stop making *smile* up.

You are delusional and in denial. If you can't even understand what your own coach says about the way he coaches the team you are a lost cause.
