When will Bernie go !!

This is the only stat you need. Last 3 games we played against TOP 4 finishing teams for the season and the opposition scored 40, 67 and 60 points. In 5 of 12 quarters we kept opposition to a goal or less. The most goals a team kicked in a quarter was Adelaide and that was 4 in 1st quarter yesterday. Tigers kicked 4 or more goals in 7 of 12 quarters. For defensive effort it doesn't get more impressive than that.

Absolutely this!
We beat all the best teams convincingly.
No doubt the coaching in the later part of the season has been spot on.
The game plan, for a number of reasons, evolved into a perfect storm.
Stick with it, add a few fresh faces, mature done youngsters, improve composure....and we will have a dynasty.
I want multiple flags.

Some absolutely hilarious anti-Dimma commentary in that round five thread - good find Kid.

I'm sure I said something profound thereabouts somewhere, will have to dig it up.

Particularly liked the Darksiders saying we should be playing more like Adelaide - and they have the gall to claim they invented Dimmas current game plan. Bwahahahah

Lots of accusations Antman post the proof so we can see the posters who made the claims you speak of.

In good fun, it's interesting to look back after Round 5 when Dimma came out and said he didn't want to engage in a shootout with Adelaide. Darksiders were highly critical of his approach and thought we should have taken an all-out attacking route:

Meanwhile, the dumb supporters saw value in what Dimma was saying:

Thus, un-spinnable proof that Darksiders would have cost us the flag.

After we lose our first match in 2018 and the same posters feel that familiar urge of over-confidence in their solutions, hopefully they adopt Dimma's mantra and learn from this. After all, Dimma' philosophies have now been proven to bring out the best in people. Let's adopt a few of them on here :beer

With absolute respect kid, you've taken one post from early in the year, quoted one from yourself and packaged this up as "darksiders" costing the club a flag.

Again, with the most profound, cast-iron respect, that is poor :hihi

Dimma has evolved and won us a flag. He said it, the club said it, the players said it.

Harry, Lamby and I said he needed to evolve. Needed to trust. Let the players play without so many rules.

Now, I could trawl through past posts and find the innumerable times this was mentioned, but you know what? I only want to spend a minute or so on this post.

Because this is just a forum.

So again, with absolute respect, I solemnly suggest you take a deep breath, step away from the computer and enjoy your life.

Because as a tiger fan, you have the world in your hands.

I heard he's well aware to not do what the Bulldogs did this season (i.e. hangover season, miss the 8 etc...)

No baseless accusations, it's all in the thread yandb. Check it out.

Antman you made the accusations, saying it is in the thread is just weak.

Link the specific comments.

Caroline W on Offsiders said there was a negative atmosphere around Hardwick prior to getting rid of the assistant coaches, with an emphasis on what was wrong with the playing group rather than what was good.

It does feel that way. His mentor has experienced both premiership hangovers and sustained premierships. Already I'm seeing comments by Hardwick trying to motivate our young players to make us even better next season.

Outside Hardwick, Gale's 2010 plans aimed at becoming the number one club and winning 3 premierships by 2020. Originally a reach goal, internally everyone will feel motivated to work towards multiple premierships and it'll feel like that was the destiny all along.

Besides, already Dustin Martin has said we'll do it again next year, and I'm not inclined to argue with one Dustin Martin :hihi

You know what yandb, we've probably had enough recriminations for now. I could dig up the comments but really, who cares. If it makes you feel better I withdraw my previous comment.

Go Tigers.

So what you're saying is they replaced the darksiders with brightsiders and we went from 13th to 1st? No surprise there.

His name is Damien Hardwick Dimma to his mates, to you, Mr Hardwick Sir. You just don't get it do ya?

Your got it !! Frothing at mouth like a Yes acolyte.

One thing I really enjoyed after the GF win was seeing Dimma composed. OK, most of us supporters/former players etc.... waiting so long for success sooked, but the coach didn't go overboard with emotion (ala Spud Frawley's sooking) and showed he's got a sturdy mind in cases like this. Looking forward to see what he does in 2018 as I really hope we don't fail like the Bulldogs have by missing the 8.

There is no way that we will be like those cultureless hacks at the kennel

In pre season 2017 betting , Bernie's Punt Road chargers odds were 50-1 so did anyone on this site get on ?. I did not as after the Tigers 2016 season the Tigers were on the nose big time.
