You may want to re-evaluate how much you know about sport.
Listen to the way cotch and dusty talk about the hardnut. Try consider the shape our club was in when he walked through the door.
1 final ponder...
What do you think Balmy would have as response to your theory that the current success is only in spite of Dima?
K3 said:From the outside, and with a touch of not being a Hardwick fan, the end of last year/ start of this year looked like...
Balmey comes onboard
Hardwick's yes men assistants given the boot
Hardwick told his 'system' isn't up to it
Leppacellafly are brought in and all heads get together
Hardwick goes to the US on a study tour
Leppacellafly, and Hardwick?, make a conscience decision work with players strengths and empower them; a complete 180c turn from anything Hardwick has done before
Hardwick jumps onboard
Assistants are a huge upgrade on last year
Players actually look like they are enjoying playing footy - they sure didn't at many times last season!
AFL gets to winning
VFL gets to winning
Much joy and hugs all around the place, as there should be
Kudos to the club getting Balmey, 'whyever' he came onboard
Kudos to the new assistants for being very high quality, not just competent
Kudos to Hardwick for accepting, and adapting/ embracing, the change and the very different philosophy
Kudos to the supporters/ fans/ members for staying with the club. Now we get to enjoy footy once more, and lots in September.
Club is very much moving in the right direction. Hopefully we get to head to a few finals over the coming years.
Go Tigers!

As much as the moandrones like to carry on about the transformation happening while beavis was doing a disneyland tour or that he was forced to accept without any say, it just didn't happen that way.
Baloo said:It's this part that doesn't gel.
Beavis is the head coach. Final decision really is his. Whether the new style or gameplan was Leppacella's, McFly's, Benny Balme or Peggy alone then Beavis needs to agree buy in and agree. If it was the new coaching group coming up with it then again, Beavis would be part of that.

Balmey would also be expert in soothing ruffled feathers and ensuring ALL coaches were on board/ Hardwick flexed his muscles a few times during the year when we started winning but quickly abandoned the Hunt/Morris project or the mixed messages he gave before the Adelaide game.

People who don't share your opinion are stupid!
I take regular breaks from this site due to your and others dirty low balling. I only come back when results in the real world break the diminishing circles you typed about!
However you still state your opinion as fact an insult people who's opinion actually aligns with what has happen in the real world. But don't let that stop you ranting and bullying!
MD Jazz said:It's all just opinions and *smile* anyway.
K3 said:Agree with that but I do think that Hardwick would have had a fair bit of a talking to about the need for drastic change, hence the ? relating more to the decision to make that change.
Baloo said:Right there is the classic hallmark of a moandrone. Opinion presented as undisputed fact.
Baloo said:Yeah it's possible but we really don't know. My view is that Dimma has been very open this year about the hole he dug himself last year and his need to change. Whether that was self-revelation or it was pointed out to him I don't know. But it seems that the need to change mentality happened first, then when gameplan proposals were being discussed and/or presented he was actively involved and bought in.
