I am not sure of what exactly is a pass mark but I agree with the sentiment that general expectations may be a bit too low both in the club and the footy public.

I'd say a finals win is the bottom line. Seems pretty straightforward to me.

To me a pass mark is having a team that is close to competing for a premiership.
We would want to win at least 1 final, just for something different.
From there a loss in a high quality game to a true contender may be acceptable, but making a prelim and losing by 10+ goals probably is not.

It is probably the wrong thread but there doesn't appear to have been any additions to the recruiting staff that I think was mentioned at around the time of the focus on football challenge. The only change seems to be that Clarke and Francis have swapped jobs. Perhaps a fresh set of eyes could have been useful.
