And you'll be calling for Hardwick to be retained but demand the axing of the footy department below him as well as 40-plus players.
Footy dept's had a fair axing last year, did you miss it?

No doubt there's a fair handful of players that could do with a good axing as well, there's a fair bunch on the list that have given nothing and quite a few more that constantly splutter along without elevating beyond mediocre.

Have no doubt that Dimma's arse will be torched if we fail to rise above mid range again this year. There'll be no issues from me unless the entire list is decimated by injuries.
Whilst I'd approve of and appreciate a couple of flags or more over the next few years, I don't believe we're good enough as yet to get that far. So for seasons start I'll settle for being optimistic enough to think we can smack Carlscum,,,,,,,,,,,,,HARD. Then simply try to enjoy the season as it unfolds.

Smacking Carlton HARD would bring great pleasure to many.
Yep.
Three great ways to start any season, smack Carlscum, Colonwood or Essendrugs, doesn't really bother me as to who. Obviously the harder the better, just love to get that bit of feel good happening to start the footy year off with a smile.

Smacking the *smile* out of Geelong would give me even greater pleasure, but that one always seems to bring out the recurring nightmares n heebie jeebies.

Slightly OT but there is an article on the site which cannot be named where DH states that he has realised he was "a bit strict" with the players and structures last year and that he has learned many lessons. Included in these are that the players need to be giving permission to "just play".

Will be interesting to see how the 'team' responds and how players respond to this LARGE change within the structures.

According to Robbo he won't last past Round 11.

The 'Just Play' article has me firmly believing it will be earlier than that.

My money is on Round 5, the annual ANZAC eve smash up humiliation by Rabblebourne will be the last straw for the board.

With his 'Just Play" statement one is of the opinion Bernie has been told by the RFC Board that the RFC will honour his contract until RFC deem it financially viable to serve him a SNLR ( snarler ..service no longer required). Until that time he will appear to be the Coach but will be under the instructions from a person within the football department most probably Balme.

The players need certainty from the coaches. Consistency.

If Hardwick has been bypassed our on-field play will reflect the chaos in the coaches box.

My gut feeling is that Hardwick has been forced to collaborate and compomise heavily on structures and movement.

The small breaks against Carlton will tell the story. I think Cara and Leppa are driving the bulk of our tactical playbook.

Dimma will still be the one insisting on certain defensive standards, except these will be more individual based than squad based.

All speculation of course, but the huddles will be fascinating this year.

Like others, I don't think Dimma will make it past the mid season break.

Listened to rutten on the club website. Speaks well.

Very similar tone and mode of talking to balmey.

If balmey ever got kidnapped rutten could issue propaganda audio from hq.

I predict on the 3/7/17 there'll be a press conference announcing Dimma's last day as coach of the RFC.

Caretaker coach Caracella till end of year.

Mid season bye if we're out of contention. If we're in the running he'll stay.

Season aint started & he is bleating already sic six day JLT break. Time to toughen up sunshine.
