When will Bernie go !!

Sydney up to fourth.

Surely Bernie won't fluff another top 4 finish.

Hopefully his top 4 list doesn't *smile* itself under the added pressure like it has so often before.

Pressure just went up a few notches.

Still, all we need to do is win against Freo and StK.

If old Bernie can't get us into the top four from here, he's done. The players won't believe and we'll drop out in the EF.

You just know there's heart attacks in store for everyone connected to the club.

It's like some are just hoping we fail.

Weird mindset.

No, it's a familiar sinking feeling borne from repeated disappointment.

I want this club to be ruthlessly successful, like Sydney is.

But we're not. Not until we win some finals.

that is the white ant mindset 80. Its bizarroworld. They think they want us to win, but they actually want us to lose. Its kind of like when you got a really nice, smart and pretty girlfriend when you were young and treated her like crap because you thought it was cool.

Speaking of bizarre...

I wouldn't have pictured you as a "Treat 'em mean, keep em keen" sort of guy.

Dimma has never been great at games we absolutely need to win.

Why? Because you need a positive, attacking mindset. You need to attack the goal face and put the oppo to the sword early, especially at a place like Domain.

Freo, like any plucky also-ran, will put up some fight and niggle for all of five minutes, then collapse.

Well, they would against other finals bound units.

Dimma doesn't coach that way.

Tomorrow's game will be another "test" against an "outstanding" unit. We will provide the dockers more than one chance to win the game.

How refreshing it'll be if we just roll out, ride the inevitable pisweak challenge on the first quarter, then go on from there.

But Dimma isn't a good enough coach to instil that kind of confidence. Ross will have laced our path to September with pit traps and mine fields.

He did a poor job of coaching Adelaide last night

15,000 posts, most of them pointless.

every other poster on PRE knows exactly what Harry is saying and would agree.

you? futile, pathetic bi-play.

I know it's futile arguing weather people do or do not rate Dimma as a coach , because like nothing else most are set in the belief of Dimma as coach, I've got splinters in my arse sitting on the fence with him, I see the good and the bad, I believe he is a middle tier coach at the moment , however I also believe his improved and I think there's little doubt he has the players on side, which does matter, but it's not everything. I think he did pretty well during the H & A seasons with the list he had when we played finals , however we failed in September each time. Last year was very ordinary and wouldn't have minded if he was moved on, however he wasn't and I think again with the list he has at his disposal he done well to this point of the season, as many experts have pointed out we have been as consistent as any side in the comp and I think the coach should get a lot of credit for that . So many verables can happen over the next 13 months, I'm not sure how we judge him if we say finish top 4 but get rolled by Adelaide then Sydney in competive games, is that really are fail again ? I'd imagine if we don't win a final and the first half of next year is poor , he will be on his way out. Hopefully he can work a miracle over the next 6 weeks

Pretty measured, reasoned approach CC. I was glad when we signed him as it seemed a step away from past mistakes (Geish/Wallet). We looked like a much more professional outit. I wasn't a fan of some of his tactics and I was worried we'd stick with him too long and waste a chance with 3 top draft picks and smattering of decent kids and the Coleman Medallist (and form forward of the comp). He has looked genius and clueless at different stages. As a pure spectator (never played the game even as a nipper) and a Tigers only type (barely watch any other games) I wondered if he was the right bloke to help lead a change of culture and bring some youth and vigour into the team but the wrong bloke to instill the mettle and ruthlessness needed to go deep into September. He still hasn't answered that question for me (or maybe he has?) but stumble again this year and I reckon it curtains.

My choice? Well if NSW is allowed to mention J_Town in every post then I should follow his lead....Come home Knighter!

Bring him home Hey KR :hihi don't think he'd be a bad choice, that's the thing it's so bloody hard to know if any of them are the right choice. Not to hard to see both cases is it KR, I'm certain he will be coach at the start of next season even if we fail in September, however it may be the first pull of the draw strings towards drawing the curtains closed as you say.

Dimma needs to win a final. If he doesn't he should offer to walk. Then it's up to the club to decide if changing the coach would see us go forwards or backwards next year.

Our stars will be a year older and reaching the prolonged weeks out due to soft tissue injuries age bracket.

I'm now bought in to what sintiger has been saying for a while now, 2018 is the year where we are locked and loaded. But who is the coach to give us that best chance is a mystery.

In saying that, we're still in with agood chance this year. The dogs last year proved that the finals can be a lottery.

Mmm last year the dogs got 4 free kicks a game more than the opposition this year we are getting 4 free kicks less.

It might be a lottery, but there is lead tape on the top of our barrel.

"Bi-play"? No thanks, but each to their own.

Despite the normal abuse and bullying you get for pointing out the obvious...

I was bemused also that Adelaide losing was the catalyst for Bernie and the club copping flack.

Tis a strange universe, the PREverse! A website that exists so you can cleanse your suffering by hating the club you have running through your veins, or release that aching by pointing out how ridiculous that hate gets! Maybe find inner peace inflating your ego by ridiculing anyone who disagrees with your hate!

Big ups to those who have managed to ignore it all and talk footy!

It sure is going to be an interesting next 6 weeks or so.

Tigers have a huge opportunity to show the footy world that the old Tigers who wilt as soon as the expectation and pressure are ramped up are a thing of the past.

If they can't then queatilns will rightly be asked of the coach and the players
