Probably just have a go at other posters :D

Surely, no one would feel the need to resort to such measures? After all, we are all merely expressing our opinions. None with any more merit than anyone else?

My post highlighted the relationship between age & performance constrained by the limited number of 44 spots on a list, and how that relates to being a developing club with a long-term focus vs a club in contention with a short-term focus, which are opposing principles. I claimed we have the best balance of these 2 opposing principles in the AFL, because we are 3rd on the ladder with the youngest performing list.

For every list position that prioritises the list 5 years from now, it comes at the expense of a list position that is currently being filled by a player performing right now and contributing to our position of 3rd on the ladder.

One person's genius interpretation of my post was "the youngest club always wins the flag". I laughed out loud.

Oh you mean the geek squad? That's disappointing.

If you want to double down on insults and stupidity, that's up to you Carts. It's a shame because you have some good insights, but it gets lost in the "I'm so much smarter than you" trope that you feel you have to live up to.

what a strange, existential voice you have adopted :hihi

i say again, very slowly - our success in 2017 is yet to be determined.

if we go deep in finals, we stay the course.

if we crash, we address coach, lack of young pure mids and lack of young key position (of any kind).

clearly, you don't get this, despite your repetition of the same words, apparently into the ether :hihi

Antman that's been our keys.

1. Numbers to the ball

2. Quick transition from D50 to F50

3. Tackling ( ferocious as you sttated )

4. And contested football

5. Unique forward set up.

Completely different game plan to last and previous finals campaigns.

The proof though will be tested first up against a bogey team out to redeem themselves in the Cats AND finals time.

I want Hardwick to succeed even though I've been a critic in years gone by and a supporter of his.

Yep. We've stepped up each time we've had to this this last couple of months with the exception of St Kilda of course. Another big opportunity against the vulnerable Cats this week.

Some of these doomsday flogs should jump on barracking for GWS or GCS and stop trying to make true Tiger fans on PRE depressed with constant, nagging negativity.

I reckon that's just about the most insulting thing a person can say to a fellow tiger fan. so you think you're a better supporter than me because I (and many others) live on the dark side? you think you're a "true supporter" and I am not?

Didn't think Dimma had it in him, still have my doubts, but I'm sure as hell enjoying the ride he's got us on.

yep, agree.

If it's the moandrone type that hopes we lose matches then the label fits.

How can we expect success when no matter what the team does people run them down and don't believe. The team is united and are playing a great system that seems to cause other sides problems. They keep getting results, the new young players have slotted in (thanks Fly) and they believe. They can't have the supporters not believing and holding back. None of us here can play the game in the manner this young men do.

Everybody needs to be positive.

Hmm, dunno. I reckon a few of us could contribute as much as Elton has.

as for myself, Benny, I can't wait for saturday afternoon and am loving the ride.

as you say, we are a team chock-full of confidence and no one, not even GWS or Adelaide, looks better when we break from the packs in a wave.

was gonna mention it before but I think that Caracella's ball movement is really hitting its stride. the way we are spreading at the moment is a thing to behold and is something we haven't done for a long, long time. certainly not in spud's finest moments and possibly not even during Northey's reign, where grit was the order of the day.

the spread is very hard to stop and it depends on slick handball. attacking handball on its own is something I haven't seen since 2012. it is something Dimma has flirted with in the past and he also deserves credit for how we are working the offensive transition.

So lets just get this straight. You don't want HArdwick to lose anymore so that we can get rid of him quicker? You are now enjoying the ride with Hardwick?

Who would want us to fail as this point?

What the hell is wrong with you? :hihi

Seriously, September will sort us out one way or another.

If Hardwick is to go again, he would wanna make the most of the double chance we're about to get.

Just had to check, many apologies. You see saw a lot and never have rated Hardwick so felt the need to clarify a previous statement earlier in the season.
