When will Bernie go !!

A classic thread that highlights how little the moandrones know about football:

So many stubborn, plain dumb opinions spoken like wisdom.

How anybody on here thinks their criticism has any credibility astounds me.

No one gives a stuff mate, but enjoy reading old posts. Fair dinkum :hihi

So much whinging and angst from the cheer squad, any chance you might enjoy winning like the more sober types on here.

Not if Morris or Hunt are in there. Remember them?
Oh that's right the moan drones wanted them out permanently

It's less about who goes out and more about who comes in IMO. If that makes sense. Half of our current running players weren't here last year and the mozzies were very much in development mode with Fly last year.

Mind you, the moandrones will always be able to say "see, I told you Morris was *smile*".

What a nugget of wisdom.

I for one thought Hardwick would be out the door by now & am happy to admit being wrong on that front. Very. He's done well.
That said the goal still remains a final's win surely.
If we're bundled out again without going deep into September then where are we at with Hardwick as a coach?
In his 8th season he already holds the record for most games coached without a finals win.
Crow 'I told you so' after we've won a final.

I think it was pretty much unanimous that the ultimate pass mark was to make the 8 and win a final, so I agree. But I think its also fair to say we've exceeded all expectations, bar extreme optimists, played exciting hard footy, got some big scalps and are entrenched in the top 4 with 3 games to go. To not smell the roses along the way, and not just that but whinge and sook with it, is self flagellating and just plain strange IMO. Maybe its just me.

I pretty much agree with all of that, I thought we would hover between 8th-14th this year tbh, so I am thrilled that the coaching/footy department obviously have a great balance, the players have bought in etc..

I agree that we are well placed but we definitely need to win finals due to our 2017 play and our position, this is a minimum, if we were placed where I thought 8th-14th even though I like Dimma I would be very supportive of moving him on.

Irrespective even if we were to win the flag I wouldn't support an extension until mid to end of 2018 when he comes out of contract.

TT if he wins us the flag this year I'd be extending the *smile* out of his contract. And admitting my own epic wrongness to boot.

Funny thing is, we're in with a real chance.

No need for hasty decision Baz..

I'm sure the majority including RFC would support an extension, I just think lets get off to a good start in 2018 and mid way if looking good we address it then.

Were all desperate for a flag, but should we be so lucky I would enjoy it but I would immediately want another....

The moandrones and delusional duffelcoat-wearing cheer-squaders agree on winning a final. Flag would be good too.

Who you calling moandrone or delusional, I'm an upstanding citizen :)

I think many on PRE are just sick of 'moandrones' as Baloo well describes them. Supposed Tiger supporters who seek to and dredge up the same negative, repetitive whining no matter what the team does. We can name several of them, several trying to come in from the cold of their prior record as star moandrone posters, who may want redemption now - for it all to be forgotten and forgiven. To sneak back into the fold mow that the club is achieving some success. But they can't really change their spots/stripes, and quickly relapse into nitpicking carping. Mostly re-hashing the same old rubbish. Why? Well, mostly because they're proven wrong most weeks, over and over.

But they have too much ego to actually admit it. Because it's all about them ... how right they are .. how much smarter they are .. how they know much more about it than you or me. They try to raise the bar each week ... if we can beat GWS ... if we can beat the Dawks ... now if we can do Cats at SS? As if anyone rates their view much at all. As if RFC even would give a toss about their 'informed' opines on Dimma's failures ...

Spare me your whinging and whining. GWS are the club for such 'followers'. Or why don't you try supporting Aints, Dees or Dogs? RFC is for genuine, rusted-on true believers. Some of the greatest ups and downs ever, but that's what I love about my club. It's never dull, like moandrones.

wait, what? are you suggesting that because some of us are critical, that means we don't deserve to enjoy the ride? that we should support another team? FMD.

And its not about ego champ. My opinion is a personal view that I feel strongly about because I am passionate about this club. Just because I am not a true believer, doesn't mean I am less of a supporter than you. I desperately want the RFC to succeed and didn't think it would have succeeded under the current regime (we still haven't achieved anything yet by the way).

And I put my money where my mouth is by drastically reducing my level of membership this year. If the fairytale occurs and we make and win the GF, you'll be happy to know that I'll be one who may end up losing out. after having the GF guarantee attached to my membership for about a dozen years, I gave it away this year. So don't worry, perhaps a "moandroner" such as myself will get what I deserve in the end, eh? After all, this is just more evidence that I am not a real supporter like you, which is enough to make me wanna switch teams.

Carn the Giants!!!

The moandrones wanted plenty more out permanently. Dimma, Sheds, Grigg, Houli, Cellis, Bellis etc. It's the old moandrone tactic. Fling sh!t on everyone and then claim incisive insight when someone doesn't make the grade.

Well done Baloo

You've just nailed who is at the top of the list to perform under finals pressure, maybe add Cotch as well.
