When will Bernie go !!

The problem with the apologists is they rarely have a clue.

Backing vickery through over years of medocrity, selling the likes of B Ellis and Menadue to the highest bidder, holding a candle for Dimma when he all he has shown in September is a loose bowel.

Thank goodness none of these cheer squad types are allowed near the club anymore :hihi

Angst, rancour and gratuitous references to bowel movements.

That's classic Carter right there!

Groundhog Day ...............restructure, rejig, reword, relaunch..........Hardwick must go.

It's the same no matter which way you wrap it.

Frankly boring is the word I keep looking for.

Who is saying Hardwick must go?

I am Happy for Hardwick to stay!

As long as he does not have the final say on Team Selection, ball movement, fitness and team strategy!

And the critics resort to making stuff up to try and reinforce their biases. Criticising things they have no way of understanding unless they are in the inner sanctum, which they are not.

We have heard Dimma's motivational skills being criticised, our poor goal kicking blamed on the negativity Dimma has infected the players with, claims that Dimma takes over selection when any drones are picked, that he pulls the handbrake during games based on what the scoreboards shows, that he was sent on a study tour to get him away from the new gameplan, that the top 4 list takes over and coach themselves during the season when Dimma's gameplan isn't working. And on and on it goes.

All assumptions represented as facts, which is the critic's modus operandi. All complete *smile*.

And some of these posters, who have never had any involvement at an AFL club in any capacity, are deemed by others to be the best football brains on PRE, who understand the modern game better than Dimma and his coaching staff does!

God help us!

Leysy couldn't care who was right or wrong.

We are playing good footy and are shooting for top 4.

That's what matters. We'll deal with the fallout good or bad when the important stuff over coming weeks plays out.

So we have another big game this week... sides in the four playing each other or contenders. The Hawks have won five from six, but Hodge is out. We may not have Jack though. Big opportunity to get ahead of the chasing pack with a hot of breathing space. We generally play well against the Hawks, but our current game plan and roster is an unknown against Clarkson.

Yep big game. Want to bank that 13th win to assure finals this week and then shoot for top 4.

The longer we wait, the more pressure is heaped upon the club.

Its not so much who, as how.

the sheer magnitude and volume of wrong.

there was a fair bit of big and loud right too.

Don't think anything is right or wrong yet ET.

We could win a flag/go deep in Sept.

Or

Miss top 4 and get rolled by 50 pts in first final.

All we've done is set ourselves up for a chance.

if you were to juxtapose a prediction against an outcome,

say barracking for Carlton Rd 1 so Dimma gets sacked quicker, imposed over winning the flag, its extreme wrong. I cant imagine getting any wronger, other than perhaps castrating a bloke who thought he was having an in-grown toe-nail pulled?

so, yeah. Lets wait and see.

Ouch......

also pervasive among the clueless apologists is the view that Dimma gets a massive tick "because we were expected to slide down the ladder."

ludicrous. Dimma was rightly told that last year was unacceptable. 2016 was the blip, not 2017. we have a core of immense talent that has gone to waste under Dimma's watch.

two finals wins is the pass. Dimma is in his eighth year and the superstars deserve success while they're in their prime.

whichever way you cut it, that means a PF or GF berth.

if he sh!ts himself again, out he goes. replace him with fly, cara or knighter.

I would love to see what all those who say we have achieved nothing said was the likely scenario before the season started.

At minimum what we have achieved is a great springboard for the future with the emergence of some terrific young players and general improvement right across the list
question is why all of a sudden this year have we changed our philosophy and played alot of kids. handbrake loved his hunts and morris....why they not there now? he decided to give the kids a go, why this year??

and where did this pressure tackling game come from as dimma has said we were not this the last 3 years, as statistics show we were dead last in these types of categories.
too much praise on dimma, good on him for taking the advice tho. but I think this year has more to do with new assistants than Bernie...

We've blooded kids every year. Last year Rioli, Castagna, Moore, Chol.

Kids need to be ready to take the step which has been the issue. Its not he hasn't played kids.

Phew!!! Was concerned that you'd forgotten your obligatory reference to Dimma's doo-doos but you saved yourself right at the end there.

So, a list that required a rebuild earlier this season needs to make a preliminary final for the coach to save his job, because anything less is his fault? :headscratch

I never said the list needed a rebuild this season. I merely posited that the list will fracture quickly if the big four decline as there are few outright superstars coming up in the midfield.

Rioli will be a player, as will Menadue. What else is there?

A rebuild will be on the cards sooner than you think if Dimma continues to fritter away our chances at a flag.
