Welcome Tom Brown

Like Tresize Brown has some AFL quality traits already (disposal particularly) but he's going to notice the step up in pace & intensity bigtime from the VFL.
Just hoping for some positive signs & won't judge too harshy against a quality opponent on thei own deck. Good luck lad.

Have never seen him play but it's good to hear he's got good disposal which is something we desperately need. Along with Banks, Clarke, Sonsie, Coulthard and some others seems we have players coming through with good skills.

He is very clean and composed will just need some time to adjust

The positives about Tom Brown is that he looks like he has grown, at least above 190cm, and he is an elite athlete, 2.98 20 m speed, and a top 10 jumper in the draft camp.he is also an excellent kick

the knock on Brown is that we are yet to see him relish a contest, doesnt mean he is soft, but not a flossy contested beast that is for sure

Best case scenario for Brown is Andrew Mckay, good mover, classy with the ball, can jump.

Good luck to the kid
I reckon his Geelong dad Paul may have been around 192-194 without checking

Plus it’s his ability to read the play and impact the contest is his strength. His footskills are elite. Looks laconic but but execution is top notch. Can split the game open with his ball movement off half back.
These might be his strengths but there can be no place for him if he doesn't contest the hardball.
Non negotiable requirement!

Seems like five years since the lad debuted in that praccy/Escort Cup game. He was super slick in that. Let's have a look at how things are going now.

I’m 193cm but in my head I’m 168 cm with a rat-bastard-mongrel-terrier personality. I visibly shrink in company. Maybe he’s like me.

Ahhh so more like a hand-bagger...it's in the genes!

Don’t agree with any of this.

What don't you agree with? That Vlastuin and Broad don't run at about 30% contested possessions? Its right there in their stats. Its not for you to agree with, its cold hard facts. Brown needs to be running at a similar level to play similar roles to them as a midsize defender.

Cameron was a champ, I'd take it. Joel Bowden is closer I reckon, if we're talking late 90s.
Joel Bowden is an excellent observation

Moves like him but quicker , looks like he always has heaps of time

Lots to like
