Welcome Tom Brown

I have heard from sources inside at the Pies that Fly is overrated, that Caracella deserves all the credit...

Was an intercept making defender and a forward in his junior days. Haven’t seen him take many intercept marks.
Looking forward to him dominating a game in the VFL.
Actually I’d be happy with a half at this stage.
One thing I know for sure. He’s not 193cm as quoted on the RFC website.

While we'd want Brown to be a better ball user, Heppell is roughly the same type. Luke McDonald? That's the type. It's a good type if you can use he ball.

Heppell used to get plenty of ball.
Prolific. Knew where the ball was and collected it with ease.
Made him Captain.
Haven’t seen Brown collect many easy possessions. Other than the kick outs from full back.
Within our structure, we’re all hoping for a Vlastuin type.
Haven’t seen that either

If Brown can't get plenty of ball, DA, he won't be any good. In terms of type, I'd say... hmm... probably most like Heppell. Whether Brown might play like a young Vlastuin, I dunno. Maybe. I'm so used to the Vlastuin that stands in front of the pack and gets his ribs broken every other week I can't remember the young one.

As you point out it's up to Brown to get a kick.

Compare Geelong's 1st round pick we gave them the year before.
The Gazelle Holmes to this bloke.
He is he actually going to play?
Or will he join the list
Higgins
Ellis X2
Dow
Collier Dawkins
Coleman Jones

I like him, has composure and is dependable. May seem a bit vanilla but hopefully ends up Merv Keane or Broady vanilla, and not Craig Smith or Mark McQueen vanilla

Yeah unfortunately too many misses there. But if u want to compare with cats, you could compare Dow with Cooper Stephens (pick 16).

Is there a Holmes hate thread, Brother? Do I have to start them all? ;D

The player he most reminds me of is Dan Houston.
Given that hatred is usually rational, is my hatred of Houston unreasonable?

I fear that I'm becoming reasonable, comrade. I've been doing back catalogue of Taylor Swift.

At the moment the players he reminds me of is the 100 & 1000's early picks we have wasted on kids that aren't worthy of those high picks.
Imagine Holmes on the wing on the G. No more Flappers, marking and beautiful kicks but we decided we just hand him over to Geelong.

Look on the bright side Zips, he ain't a premiership player.
