Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

Not sure why the calls for him to be dropped? He had a decent game. And has had a decent year. He's not getting dropped.
Decent by his standards. Still missed handballs and a 20m kick that went 16m on the bounce. His usual modus operandi.
But he did work his arse off all game. Some good work some not.

George quietly putting together a very solid start to the year.

Will continue to be a lock for selection.

Amazes me how unconnected he is with the rest of the team.
He plays a lone hand.

Yep he works hard, defensively his efforts are crucial for getting team structure and our overall defense. Works hard, has speed and endurance. Hits packs to spoil the contest, often when out of position. Terrific work.

BUT
consistently flies for marks into Lynch's space
gets a loose ball and runs away from teammates
doesnt provide link play
doesnt crumb
doesnt block to get another forward free
has the athletic traits (particularly marking for his size) to be a lead-up mark at half forward/centre. Nope.

I like what he does. BUT I cant handle what he does.
Should he wear a different jumper to the rest of the team?

I'm sorry but he needs to go.
Can't have him play like a 17 yr old playing his first game.
That shot at goal just before 3qtr time was enough.
I can't defend him no more.
If Parker was Bad George & Graham were tied for 2nd.
Absolutely useless.

MRJ, Cumberland and Clarke should all be getting games ahead of George.

I said it last week. He has peaked as a footballer. Time to replace him with a youngster with a bigger upside.

Far from our worst last night , however it’s the one spot I want change , I want our forwards kicking goals not killing momentum, Georgie will remain in the 22 all year , however I want to move on from his types , unless we are playing in 6 inches of mud we ain’t going to win many with Georgie, Aarts and Parker as our ” small” forwards
