Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

To paraphrase Dennis Green, "he is who we thought he was". The better discussion is what does it say about the guys playing in the VFL if they can't push a footballer who clearly has some good traits but a lot of flaws out of the best 22? Mmmm.

Time to move on from George chaos. Will always be greatful to him for his efforts in the 3 flags and he'll always be a 3 flag legend but he doesn't add any value to the team any more because the other components of the chaos machine have slowly disappeared. As we try to re invent ourselves and our style he's actually a liability. We saw the writing on the wall late last year when we dropped him but a big preseason has seduced the coaching staff again.

Surely there's a player out there that can do the hard running Castagna does but is also an upgrade in skills.
Three premierships to his name that he should be proud of, but it's time to move on from players of his ilk. The current style of footy has gone past Castagna.

It went past him when we recruited Lynch. The chaos game went out the window as seen by our willingness not keep other small forwards.
It was ok when we only had JR as a focal point up forward, we had to adapt with what we had. An anbundance of quick small forwards.
Unfortunately we kept the fittest, but the dumbest, least skilled of the lot.
Maybe he was just on the cheapest contract of them all. You pay peanuts…you know what you get.
But people kept sprouting “triple premiership player” . I’ve seen plenty of better footballers in our local league.

I'm sorry but he needs to go.
Can't have him play like a 17 yr old playing his first game.
That shot at goal just before 3qtr time was enough.
I can't defend him no more.
If Parker was Bad George & Graham were tied for 2nd.
Absolutely useless.
You must be feeling very dejected today, Zipps, for you to be abandoning George
