Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

Castagna is extinct.

He was unique. Highly specialised, and endemic to a niche in the premiership ecosystem.

But his fecundity was always tenuous.

Steve Hocking's impact of the footballing climate disaster has meant that there is no place for Castagna any more.

We have two classy youngsters who will see the end of Castagna and Aarts going forward in Stack, Moju and Jud.

Love the posting Craig. Everyone knows it will take 3 players to replace George

With our classy youngsters, their two chief weapons are surprise and pressure.
And a ruthless efficiency around goals

Wrong.

We still need George to run tirelessly to cover for poor midfield stoppage work.

If you want someone in your crosshairs, look at the mids.

Further, if your argument is around small forward silk, then replace Jack for better balance.

George will stay unless we change tactics.

Gotta change tactics and game plan, don't you think Carts?

QE2 turning circle BT.

We recruited gut runners who can’t kick to augment our turnover style.

Changing our game plan would take a couple of years.
You're right, Carts ... and it sounds depressing given how the game is being played now.

I can’t fathom the weekly Castsgna bashing. Some of the pensioners should be in the gun than George.

At least George can run.

Yeah but where is he running? Tackles numbers are down. Pressure acts are down. Not exactly kicking big scores. So what is he actually doing in the team. When your skill level is as poor as George's you really need to bring your pressure A game each week or you are no longer a certain starter.
Also agree about the other pensioners getting some stick for their very poor performances

You really have lost the plot if you think Jack needs to be dropped on form, and Castagna gets to keep giving the ball back to opposition with impunity.

Was a favourite 5 years or so back, but the the game stands still for no one and has moved on (not in a good way either).
