Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

Wouldn't you reckon on last night's performance that George would be first in line for rookie elevation?

Given he's the only rookie that played I suspect you are right. Personally would like to see the other rookies get game time and reward best performed

It's moops

And he has beautiful, soft hands. He could be a hand model if he remains master of his domain.

But most pleasingly, young 'soft hands' plays like an architect.

Kicking isn't exactly a work of Art, though.

On his game last night he is more ready than Chol and Moore but we haven't seen much of Stengle yet. I hope Jason gets another game along with the other 3 v. Woods. Wouldn't surprise if they rested Jack, Cotch and Prestia.

Where is the love for George??

3 goals is not a bad return. Was busy in the forward line.

Some serious pace between him, Rioli and Butler.

Yep. I was impressed and he's built up well too. Disappointing spray in the first quarter but linked well with the 3 goals later in the game.

Worry about the class as a forward, however his speed, agility and work rate makes him a handy defensive forward option at this point, handy that he can go back if needed

He's definitely the best player and most ready of those on the rookie list. Promoting is a no brainer for Yarran. Can't just promote a tall for the sake of a tall.

In terms of games I don't see him getting an early spot but should be one of the first in if there's injuries.

Has also proven he can run off hb if Short, Houli etc go down.

He's a bit rough around the edges but super quick, urgent, desperate, aggressive. The bulldogs built a premiership team around players like this.

Exactly. Thought the other night yeah he wouldn't have been out of place on GF day.

Jason is also very good defensively, and one on one. Very competitive in the air even against bigger bodies.

I was thinking on Friday he is probably the closest we have come to Kingy in that small forward role.

Hasn't got the menace but has the physicality, strength and speed, Can harass but can also compete one one one plus he can kick a goal.
