Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

see all the nanas are cashing in with tiger merch.

Dusty's Nana got a Tatt in a promo deal with Jakey King.

and George's Nana has released a book.

'Jason Castangnes' nanas' lasagne - secret fuel of the premiership mosquitoes'

great recipes, although I found her lemon granita a bit watery.

after 10 replay reviews, he could have taken 2-3 marks a player of his height simply should not get to. Has an incredible leap and whilst id prefer him front and center he is as much chance to take a forward contested mark as Griffo would.!! as stupid as that sounds! Some more games under his belt and some accurate goal kicking.... lots of upside in Georgie boy.
I suggest another 10 review of the grand final.

Not to check on Castagna, just because it’s fun

Pretty football don't win you a flag. Just ask Adelaide.

Yeh. Sacrifice, desire, teamwork. We have it in spades. It's a winning formula and the club has it from the top down.

Many tend to forget how far back George has come from these last two seasons and has improved out of sight. Sure he can improve marking and goal kicking but the way he has already progressed bodes well for the future of George in AFL

Love how George absolutely murders close range handballs, he falcons teammates all the time it is comical. Having said that he has a white hot go and therefore creates opportunities that pretty players dont.

Good lad George you are a premiership hero and no one can take that away from you, keep on trucking !

I’m not convinced he has improved all that much skill wise. Just being played forward as opposed to defence where his chaos if more effective & less damaging.
Currently he’s still a role player.

If George's brain catches up to the pace his body travels at, wow. Gets his hands to the ball on the ground and in the air, that he fumbles cos he is going so quick. Sort that out and we got another ripper.

He s def improved a great deal however with talent emerging underneath in Bolton and Stengle he needs to Improve by this much again , if I were he I'd study what lambo did to improve his game out of sight

Re-signed.

Very excited, looking forward to seeing which crazy path he'll lead us down next.

He and Dan Rioli my favourites at Tigerland ;D

After watching the finals series again I was surprised how often George impacted aerial contests. He came from the side, backed in from the front, from 2 or 3 deep over the back - anywhere really, and often at speed. I’d like to see a stat on how many times he halved contests in the air. He actually worked himself into the best position to take contested marks a number of times, but hard hands let him down. Courageous effort, and super important to our forward entries not being intercepted. Check out his first half vs GWS.

Congrats on his extension.

Deserving.

TJ I agree with your comments. Going over and watching the finals you realise how hard and how much he works on impacting contests within his area and helping team mates.

Another pre season working on little things like his touch and contested marking will make him such a dangerous match up even more next year.

So many great stories amongst the premiership players. A number of guys who glass half full types who managed to take their game to another level within an efficient and exhilarating game plan. Many of them have their own stories of fighting to get on a list and then embracing it once there.

Could go either way for George. His ceiling is very high if he can clean up a few aspects of his game.

George. Premiership player. Life member.

And if he did not fumble so much he would be a good player.
Oh and if he could kick straight.

Yeah he certainly fumbles a lot - noticeably in the Geelong game and the Grand Final.

I'll be interested to see if he can improve these areas.
If it continues, it won't take people long to turn if we're not winning is my guess.
