Welcome to Tigerland - Tim Taranto

Despite playing for a team that has struggles to score, Taranto is 24th for score involvements. equal with Bontempelli and Dawson, and 1 behind Daicos and Dangerfield. I doubt anyone is bagging their effectiveness with the ball.

Seems like cornes has pushed the shock jock angle a bit far, which is saying something. Legit criticism above re AA integrity, that's a rare thing, and ridiculed on SFS yesterday.

Having a ripper season & I reckon has so far exceeded the lofty expectations we had of him. May he continue this on.

No-one would even be talking about Taranto and his worth to the team if we hadn't also brought in Hopper and traded our 2023 1st.

Pick 14 and 23 is a cheap price to play for a player like Taranto. There is a low probability that these 2 players could have provided what Taranto has done, particularly in this season but also probably over their AFL life.

Its fortunate for Tim that he is playing with a mate like Hopps, but also unfortunate that that trade is putting extra weight and pressure on himself.

Not bad for a player outside the top 150

Equal 18th in the coaches votes after 8 rounds.Screenshot_20230508_174338_AFL~2.jpg

I truly don't know why people give Cornflake any recognition at all. He's proved many times that all he wants is clicks.

Ignore him for goodness sake.

Issue is he’s on so many shows and podcasts and in the newspaper, he’s basically unavoidable!

Everyone, has fallen for the trap. He's paid by someone to get under everyone's skin, and succeeding . In other words, he is great at his job.

I notice the player not in the top 150 got votes again in the coaches award and is now in the top 20.

I preferred this thread when two or three posters had us all cutting our wrists about signing TT and JH and how we’d sold the future when, in all reality, we were actually buying it.

Some Olympic class bloviating regarding TT & JH has been thrown around in game day threads also.
