Welcome to Tigerland - Callum Moore

Like the development of young Moore. A baby still for a tall.

Lot of criticism is past years about our use of the rookie spots and quite fairly I think. These days we are doing a lot better.

Lambert, Castagna, soldo, Stengle and Moore

T-Shirt Tommy I mentioned on the VFL board that I couldn't understand, in a year where we have been begging for a key or lead up forward, that the club has not seen fit to elevate Moore from the rookie list to give us that option.
To me he seems to have most attributes that we are looking for, extremely athletic and a really strong mark both on the lead up and with his leap. His agility I would have thought would allow him to slot into our forward line without losing our forward defensive pressure. He is also versatile and can be played in a variety of positions. His kicking which was his weakness seems to have improved markedly this year.
I reckon Moore would just about shade all our Mosquito fleet in a sprint and at 193cm and I don't see how he doesn't suit our forward setup perfectly. But no Dan and Blair are too busy looking in other clubs back yards. If I were a list manager at another club I would be getting in Callum's ear and try and pinch him from under our nose, (Kane Lambert like).
I’ll admit that my football knowledge is just that of an avid supporter but I do attend most of our VFL matches live.

Agree with all this.

Agreed. We finally changed tact from using it to take re-treads and are now reaping the benefits.

Been a nice little injection of talent from there of late.

Was hoping he may have got a run , has some real tricks , nice one touch hands , quick , and really attacks the contest hard which is a terrific quality for an emerging kpp, put in a big pre season and get a starting posi in r1 should be the aim

His kicking has improved, is a good mark and has good mobility. Has had a very good last month or so, how close is he to AFL level.

Yeah, his kicking fluency seemed much better.

Could be the big surprise packet next year, hell of an athlete

If we get Moore & Garthwaite up to AFL level we have cracked the Da Vinci code. Opens up so many options for the rookie list.

I'm not sure either can be genuine KPP, however I'm confident Garthwaite will ge a very reliable player, Moore who knows . Clearly our best rookie list we have had.

Yep, it's amazing what happens when you clear the field of retreads. As for Moore's kicking, it was really, really poor at junior level. The fact he can contribute at VFL level is an achievement in itself. But one things for sure, he's a super athlete and doesn't mind tucking the ball under one arm. Get the kicking right and there's plenty of positives.

Bolton, Moore and Short should all in the seniors now.

Castagna, Broad and Caddy should not

Mr September 2.0 (sorry NSWtiger ;D)

Smashing it in the VFL finals. Another 4 goals. Could our 2nd tall be in our own back yard?

Moore is coming along nicely and Griff has remained healthy so we may have some options in our backyard if we don't land a trade for a KPF.

On Moore, blistering pace and a huge leap. A bit more strength will be needed if he's to be a true KPF. He'd be handy on a wing too if his tank is up to it. Another upgrade option on KMac.

He's come along in literal leaps and bounds this year, but to suggest he's an upgrade on KMac is vastly underselling KMac and misunderstanding what Seymour is. He's a KPP or third tall forward. Exciting prospect in that role but put him on a wing and he'd be lost.
