Reading how well Aarts went again yesterday and how poor Butler has been , I’d like to see the VFL form rewarded, I don’t buy into the Amigo chemistry , I want some genuine toughness or class in my small forwards.

True, I had the same thoughts on him watching him over the past couple of seasons at VFL , however I reckon his skill level and pace are better then I first gave him credit for. Butler maybe great at the run down tackle, Aarts is a 360 tackler and hurts them, I reckon there a bit of Jake King about him as a small forward and without Caddy throwing his chest around in the forward 50 I think Aarts is a better option at this point with his aggressionmrposhman said:Main concern for me over Aarts is his speed. Small forwards that are slow generally get exposed at AFL level.

The only way to win premierships is by playing to the strengths of the list. Need to tweak the game plan so Butler, George etc are doing better than the other team’s equivalent players. That’s what it comes down to. Dropping these type of players achieves nothing.

Butler is not having a go.
