Welcome to the Tiggers - Daniel Butler

How long do you persist? Not irreplaceable. Tackles well, but that's about it atm. You get to tackle because the other team have the ball and you don't. We need him firing. He is not Robinson Crusoe but IMO has had a poor pre and start to the season and doesn't seem to want to contest.

JLT was poor & so was his first 2 games of the real deal. 4 poor games & we have eleventeen small forwards to pick from.

I’d drop him but I reckon Dimma will give him another chance this week.

Out : Markov , Grimes , Riewoldt , Weller , Butler , Castagna

In : Balta , Moore , Ross , Bolton , Baker , Garthwaite

and this is why i think you need to be our new coach.

I'm penning a letter now to Gale and Pegg.

I just can't understand this bloke, has blistering pace and nice skills but when he gets the ball it's like his brain just freezes. In his first year he would tuck the ball under the arm and burst away, now he just stands there thinking wtf now?

Drop Butler?

Missed last year through injury. Was one of a two or three who made position tonight. Who found space and pushed through.

The failures, personnel wise, start with Martin. Look closely. Find Cotchin. Edwards wad pretty good. He was beaten.

Butler was one one of the few threats we had.

He did not fail for athletic profile. He did not fail for talent. He failed for finishing.

Others, who you forgive, failed for athletic profile, failed for talent. Couldn't finish because they couldn't get it.

Tonight's game was not lost by a lack of finishing by one of our few small forwards who could break a line but by a lack of class or endeavour by our topliners.

For root cause look elsewhere.

Eloquent poppycock.
Whilst not the primary cause (there are 18 on the field), Butler is symptomatic of the disease.
Has forgotten the basics of what got him the gig in the first place; a manic attack mentality - on the ball, the contest, the opposition.
He was a total non-threat and that’s his issue.
Allowing yourself to be second or beaten in contests, and corralling, is not “playing your role”.
Faux efforts can spread like a cancer, just like inspirational ones.
Must be dropped, for his and the teams benefit.

Far too lenient on Martin and Cotchin, IMO, gentlemen.

Lolbert?

But it is only R2.

Let's see.

BTW we need a full back.

We had one. Unfortunately the Saints stole him from under our noses.

Both Butler and Castagna wouldn't get a game with the Pies or the Eagles.

Would Lambert? Astbury? Short? Vlastuin? Broad?

Who are they replacing?

On the R2 clash a lotta Tigers look *smile*.

Most of them would.

Let's not get carried away with the Pie love please.

Chimp was our best for the second straight game Jack.

I'm talking about post 2017, i'm not saying i'm correct it's just my opinion.

We need to tweak our game style, nothing stays the same.

I am by no means a Pie lover, Bryan. BM 90 class but comers. We're 78s as at 28/3/19. Way behind. And undermanned.

I think we need to change our personnel, tm. We need fresh.
