And what have you seen to put you of Butler given his injury issues BrisTiger 24?

Even guys who have injury problems show glimpses. I have seen nothing in the VFL games I have seen (few live and all televised ones). The fact he has had injury problems is also an issue - does he have the body for elite footy?

If so, he must smell good or something because, other than maybe his first pre season game at the Western Oval, I have seen nothing to suggest he is worthy of more time.
I agree. For a small, to not have shown much to date indicates to me that he wont make it. Next please.

Had a "purple" patch near the end of the season which may have saved him. From memory he's reasonably fleet of foot isn't he?
If so, I'd be prepared to keep him and punt Lambert.

Given Hardwick is aiming for finals or he's out, they're not going to cut too hard (which is criminal for this draft, but we've put out our strategy already - taking few picks). We're going to keep some around for another year to support the coach, you watch. Butler may be one of them.

He's brisk and busy, T_G. Doesn't get it enough but gets near it. Hustle and outnumbering is good and improving. Improving possession numbers over the last month of the season. He's ok, trending up.

Likewise. Thought he was a lost cause until some late performances. May still not be enough.

He gets good raps from McRae. That boded well for his chances of an 2017 contract. He's probably maturing.

He's gotta play blue-collar. Not a glamourous player, but neat.

11 disposals a game first half of the year, improved to 15 disposals a game with 4 tackles and a goal in the second half.

That's what I thought. I reckon he stays and we look at replacing Lambert.

Got to twenty for the last couple, IIRC, Ty. A big moment for Dan coz I reckon he was getting the chop. (Not enough touches.) Fly wrote him up glowingly about this time. He's not bad. Clean. I hope he goes on with it. You a fan?

He was going to get the chop. Some family members of his mentioned that he knew this mid season , and if things didn't improve. Fortunately his game improved and his results improved and he has another chance next season to add something to us.

FFS the kids only been at the club for 30 seconds. As for Batchelor he will be a depth player at best, he has probably slipped to between 26 - 34 on the list

Not announced but was renewed.

Based on the output from Hardwick & Maric & them being rewarded with contract extensions, this is hardly surprising either.

A couple of mentions that he wasnt seen at training today but he can be seen on the video posted on the club website.
