Welcome to the Tiggers - Daniel Butler

Set shots are poor at the moment.. Overall we are poor at the start of games. We could easily be 20-25 point up at the 10min mark if we can convert the "kickable" goals early.

Butler is a little like mouse trap with a few parts missing. It sort of works or you have to try other ways of making it work. When Rioli and a fit Castagna are back the watch how much more effectively the trio operate. I do not think he and Higgins have clicked yet and we have slightly deviated from the 3 quick smalls that has been very successful over the last 20 or so games. The plus we are finding ways to win and in the past once Plan A failed the tigers just didn't win.

Close to being back to his best tonight. Played his part all night.

Yep, was great again.
Played more time in the forward, best suited in that role.

Harsh Mr B.

He worked his arse off.
There’s no doubt he works his arse off SA, however there was just a couple of moments I think Dimma will be showing him on the tape Monday morning that shows he dint go when it was his time to go.

Back to some of his pressure best tonight.

Had too cause he was only 1/3 of the amigos tonight.

Now for Friday night.

I agree, just a couple of things in the first half. But overall he was terrific.

With only one road runner in the side last night, he was unbelievable. He waits till the opposition get the ball then he attacks from all angles. Beep beep!!!
Great game,

Seems to have a brain fart moment during games where he can't make up his mind what to do n ends up completely stuffing up a passage of play. Last night on the MCC members wing loose ball n he's there first n props, doesn't toe poke or bend to pick up n Essendrugs bustle through him n go forward. He's done it before n also just over carried the ball at times n run himself into oncoming tacklers n just propped.
Just his second season of senior footy n still learning but his little brain farts just look bad.

Love watching Geezer when he's on and he had a damn good game last night, pressure, harassment, tackles, goals. Brings plenty of spark to the team.

That tackle on Hurley.. ;D
And the one on McKernan

It was great to see him showing 2017 form - but I agree with others that there was at least the one occasion on the MCC wing where (for the speedster he is) he just didn't seem to show any urgency when I expected he was right to really take off.
Will have to watch the replay to see what really happened.
Overall though he was good to watch.

He's waiting for the opposition to commit so he can nutmeg them, TM. But it looked bad last night. He should have sunk the slipper in and got us 30 metres.

I have a very weak theory that he is being coached to not rush when he gets the ball. Presumably to address the fumbling. The downside is he gets caught occasionally and accordingly he can look like road kill.

It was great but correct me if I'm wrong, the umpire didn't blow the whistle or signal advantage when Caddy picked the ball up so didn't pay HTB? Probably the most obvious HTB decision you'd get all season.
