Loved it.

BTW Butler had a bit of a flip flop when we recruited him. Maybe that's why he reminds me of Trent Nichols.

Great game.

Kicks goals. 18 so far. With more multiple goal games could get to 30 on the year.

Love this. ;D

Great running goal. The small forwards are taking turns with their form and just when you say one needs to be dropped they pop up and play a good game. Need rioli to pop up with a good game or 2

18 goals (66% accuracy) so far, excellent work. Obviously needs to tidy up a few things ie marking and bouncing the ball.

x2! Love his line breaking pace. I reckon when he gets more confidence and starts to back himself more, Dan will be a crucial weapon in our team. I have followed him closely since he is from our hometown of Ballarat and went to school at St Pat's where my son goes now. The St Pat's coach Howard Clark texted SEN this morning to say that Dan is the fastest player he has coached and he has coached 80 players who have made the AFL.

He's a dead eye *smile* when shooting for goal. Whenever he has a set shot I am confident he will kick it. Castagna is the opposite.

Only 1 preseason, will get better with another, desperately needs to stay healthy as he missed 2 years of development already.

Cross the fingers and cant wait to see his progress going forward.

Happy for him as at 3 qtr time of the blues game looked completely down on confidence. Kicked 5 goals since then.

Butler has a fair head start, he is a footballer. He will continue to improve

fully agree, you have to have significant afl level talent to be Able to do this at such a high level.

Well that means he has Rioli covered as he came through St Pats as well.

Could we dare to dream? Could we possibly win the grand final sprint this year?

Yeah what a fine line it is. Before this season, I thought he was definitely gone.

What I am liking about him two and his goals the last two weeks is that he is pooping up at important stages and kicking them then at those times. Not a trait to be underrated.

Maybe something the club doctor should be investigating.

I am a fan. To go to the next level just needs to do some of the "simple" things better. Sometimes fumbles when not under a lot of pressure and has dropped a few easy marks.
Has weapons (speed, set shot goal kicking and footy smarts) if he can just improve his uncontested marking could be a great small forward.

Not sure he is clean enough with his hands to ever be a true midfielder.

Rioli, Bolton and Graham could all end up as AFL midfielders IMO

Yes that's right, Caesar. I reckon it would have been an interesting sprint between Dan Butler, Dan Rioli and Jake Neade at lunchtime!
