Welcome to the Tiggers - Daniel Butler

Great reward for effort he has put in over the summer.

Was on the football scrap heap 6 months ago.

Great first half tonight. Looked very zippy yet composed as he found targets inside 50. George, Rioli and Butler put heaps of pressure on in the first half which resulted in a few goals and scoring chances

Faded out in the second half, and although they were both good, i thought he was more impressive than George overall. Good stuff!

Looks like a player. Got to hand it to Dyer'ere and maybe Taztiger (?) who kept the faith, like a top 10 draft pick debut.

Sometimes that's what it takes to jolt people into taking action...the fork in the road...what do they really want? Once the injuries are behind them are they going to work harder to develop their talent and be a player (and risk failing) or take the easy path and don't try. His side-step and ability to quickly assess options in congested situations and pick a good one was amazing in his first senior game. I reckon our recruitment of Bolton and Stengle might have given him the fright he needed to work harder and hold onto his place.

Has the pace. But has a bit touch and great vision to go with it.

I remember his first pre season game at Western Oval. He stood out then to me. For injuries and other reasons since then he has gone backwards. Good to see he has got himself back and is once again standing out. Well done Butters!!

What a fantastic debut. 19 touches and 2 goals as a permanent forward is a great return.

He is very quick and light on his feet which are attributes I noticed in his highlight reel a couple of years back. But he also used the ball very well.

Natural footballer.

Great debut. Looked good & loved the way a couple of time he grabbed it & ran. Our 3 small forwards are not just offensively minded but also defensively

they're good, those blokes.

He wont get the rising star nomination (paying $50, as he should be), cause they'lle give it to some top 10 glamour boy (although I imagine the girls down the disco reckon young Dan is pretty glamourous), who has half the impact.
