Oooohhhh, careful there Easy.

Daddy might hit the reds and start posting about pumpkins and other assorted nonsense.

hence the thinking mans caveat.

I dunno if it little legs, but Dan on the burst looks the fastest bloke in our side.

Agreed, Olds.

He's very busy. He's brisk. The good stuff.

Yep I like him. If he can average what he did over the pre-season in the main season he will benefit the team greatly.

He averaged 12 disposals, 3.7 tackles, 3.7 I50's and a goal a game.

Really wondering now if we can play Rioli on the wing rotating with Butler / Castagna and have Lloyd in the F50. Reckon that gives us a massive dynamic change in our F50. Pace tackling and goals.

FWIW, all but Rioli (who played more up the ground I thought hence why I think he could play wing) averaged at least a goal / game in the pre season. Butler (1 goal 0.7 behinds), Castagna (1.7 goals, 0.7 behinds) and Lloyd (1.3 goals, 0.3 behinds), Lloyd also only averaged 47% TOG.

Interested to know what you all think Bultler's specific role was over the preseason?

F50 pressure + some outside MID run?

I just find it hard to position him.

Has to make the running this early part of the season because in Shai and Stengle he has 2 blokes that will pressuring him for that spot.

Not that his made the grade yet, but that is a superb effort after where he was with his footy mid last season.

Excellent news :clap
The Butler did it

Very positive news. I hope he snags a couple and opens them up.

Not many teams have two fast smalls in their backline. So I hope Rioli or Butler get a nice matchup.

Let's hope he concentrates on composure and doesn't spray kicks while he dashes. Looked good in JLT 1 but sprayed too many in the other 2 games.

Absolutely astonishing reversal !

Many of us prior to his form at the end the year of the reserves had him delisted material.

Well done if he debuts!! I will wait till the team is announced to comment more.

Carltons drive is created by their 2 hbf players which do a good job and need to be held accountable and not let have freedom across their backline

Simpson & Docharty are very good at distributing ball and creating play, Rioli,Castagna,Edwards,Butler will need to be right up their asses and not allow them room to asses and distribute ball.

It will be interesting watching Carltons kick ins with the above players in the zones,Im expecting to see alot of goals from back half turnovers from tha tankers

Well done Daniel a Ballarat boy who hopefully will be a great asset. Congratulations to your mum and who are friends of mine.

Yep, well done. I expected him to get the arse last October. He may be an exciting machine running off the hbf or wing. Just needs to tidy up the disposal
