Welcome to the Tiggers - Daniel Butler

Like how he doesn't panic and blaze away when running at full speed.

Yep he's far more composed with the ball than Castagna who's more scattergun in his approach.

Castagna did have double the contested possies though (10 to 5) so understandable that he wasn't as clean). Thought they complemented each other and performed very well but still in the back of my mind that the opposition wasn't great. Will be interesting to see how they progress .

Outstanding debut.

Composed.

A couple of over the head handpasses that didn't come off but seemed like he covered the ground really well.

A lot of our youth were caught unawares by Collingwood's pressure in the first half. They all struggled. And then they all lifted. Very encouraging.

Daniel Butler found another gear. With the game in the balance and two opponents all over him he got aggressive. And burned them. This kid's gunna make it.

Agree Jack.

And he has a bit of the Karmichael Hunts about him. Got stuck in a few times.

agree. This might sound dumb, but even when he's not doing that much, he looks likely and looks like he belongs. Both him and Castagna worried them more and more as the game went on, even if their stats aren't super glamourous.

Spot on Jack. And he kicked the *smile* goal. Good lad.

Georgey boy had a tough night. I don't think he handled cleanly once.

His defensive running is superb. Probably why he looks a bit gassed sometimes when he tries to take off offensively late in games.

He has this move where he puts his head down and looks to squirt through holes in the defense. Even when it doesn't come off it sets a great tone.

Really like the way he goes about it.

I remember a time when the game plan versus Richmond was no more than - just pressure them and you get the win.
And they were right.

We've matured.

Love how he just tries to take the game on. Can't teach that instinct. Great goal under pressure from 50

Just great to see a kid come on so well. A third round pick at that. I really like what he brings to the team.

It will be interesting to see how he and the other small forwards fare next week against a big team like the eagles
