Welcome to the Tigers Marlion Pickett!

With his late start to his afl career and having 4 kids he won't be be able to resist the dollars if freo are offering it. And we won't stand in his way if we can't match it

I would be very sad to see Marlion go but if it was what he wanted to secure a better life and be closer to extended family, he could go with our blessing.

He'll always be a Tiger Legend.

Has had a great season considering and has found his best position. Only a few are waiting contracts for next season and his money could justifiably go up by a multiple of ... getting him to above the average paid across the board.

My admiration for Marlion and his family couldn't be any higher. Apart from Marlion being a very good player, nothing has come easy for them.
There has been lots of hurdles for them to jump over since we drafted Marlion. He left his family behind, and then had to go back to Wa to attend 2 funerals. He brings his family to Melbourne to live.
The poor buggers would've thought things were going to get a bit easier after his sensational debut in the Grand Final.
Then Covid hits, he takes his family back to Wa because the season is suspended. The season resumes so he brings the family back to Melbourne.
A month later and it's off to the Queensland hub, it's been a road full of potholes, you have to admire their durability and strong family unit.

I hope he stays.
He has stated he is grateful for the Tigers giving him a chance when others didn’t ( WA ) clubs BUT we know that can change because he has 4 kids $ talks ...

Come finals we ( hope ) to see that his game will go up a notch and what he was renowned for - brutal tackling and hitting packs/players.

Love him on the wing but would love him to share the midfield time 50/50 as required. Maybe more. Especially against big bodied mid sides.

Has anyone actually heard any of these rumours of Freo being interested in Marlion apart from in this thread? I just can’t see them being overly interested in a 29 yr old with a dozen games under his belt.

I heard east Fremantle might make a play to get him back.
He needs to improve his kicking.

He hasn’t kicked on for one so highly rated.
I think he's got better as the season progressed. It's been a rollercoaster for him.
You could be right, Craig. Maybe he's reach his best.
Let's see what happens over the rest of this years crazy journey. I though he was pretty good against Freo. I'd love to see him play a blinder against Geesooks.
