Welcome to the Tigers Marlion Pickett!

Surprised he only had 13 touches. Seemed to be in it more than that. Good things came most times he touched it.

He was BOG in the first quarter. everything he did made something happen.

then he cooly danced onto his left and kicked probably the most timely goal of the match in the 3rd.

and he was coasting, because Marlion has a similar gearbox to dusty.

I respect the doubt, but I couldn't agree any less.

actually, no, I dont respect the doubt.

to arrive at it, you're applying a simplistic template to a very unique footballer.

Does some nice things. Want him to up his possession count though.

Agree with others - him and Kmac on the wings seem locked in.

I'm with you, eZy.

Hey just on Marlion's goal, it showed how out of form/low in confidence George is. He was clear and had plenty of time to kick the goal, but chose to give a very average handpass to Pickett.

of course, I'd love him to get 35 every week.

But heaps of people wasted a good 6-7 years saying this about Shane Edwards.
let it go.

I just want it closer to 20 rather 10-13. Not asking for much :)

fair enough.

Anthony miles used to get more than 20 every time he stepped out.

I dont subscribe to possession counts.

its why I alway do my PRE votes before I look at numbers.

they lie.

I agree with you that possession counts are overrated (we have won two flags off the back of generally losing the possession count). The media and other clubs have been slow to prescribe to this theory (hello Matt Crouch).

I'd just prefer he got more of it as I think good things generally stem from him getting it. Him and Kmac are in a similar boat for mine - but I'd prefer Pickett gets more of it than Kmac given I think he hurts the opposition more through his disposals.

Both play crucial roles that often get overlooked in terms of their positioning and disrupting the opposition.

yes we are agreeing.

he had 22 from 60% in the GF, so he's capable.

But I reckon he reserves his best for when it really counts

Has been really good on the wing, i actually prefer marlion than Caddy.
Picket and Macca combo :clap2
Pickett had 13 possies, 1 goal, 13 pressure acts, 5 tackles and 272 meters gained. He has done his job and then some.
Macintosh had 15 possies, 1 goal, 17 pressure acts, 2 tackles and 483 meters gained.

Not sure how many wingers are getting 20+ even a noted winger like Brad Hill in his last 5 games has had 17, 7, 17, 15 and 16

Between him and Mac they are getting disposals around the mid teens which is a good game for a Wing.

Looking at his game stats everything screams Wing.

Good K to HB ratio, 4 i50's, 9 uncontested and 4 contested, 1 goal, 1 point.

He also had 3 clangers along with Vlus, Stack, Mac, Castagna, Lambert and Lynch. Dusty had 4 and Trent 8.

If you want midfield numbers play him at stoppages otherwise you're just getting sheepled into Possession poppycock.

He's quicker than I thought. When he sprinted and nearly took Ellis' head off, I thought who is this? Seems to have a good tanks also. Coming along nicely
