Cos they are on more money for longer. GWS could conceivably cover Hopper for one year. The other two clear up a hell of a lot more over the contract duration.

Haynes $1M a year until 2024.

Whitfield even more until 2027.

Whitfield is owed 1 million a season and still has 4 to go.
And Haynes 800k 2 yrs to go.
Good luck finding that cash available

We have just won 3 flags and we are on the verge of adding to highly quality midfielders to the team..
Our weakness was clearances
Not anymore

Wow. Whitfield on a mill a year……….geezuz…….that’s salary cap management? I would take either Taranto and Hopper over Whitfield in a heartbeat.

Question for the knowledgeable. Do we pay Hopper's first year as per GWS's contract or is it reset completely?
