Agree 1000%This deal gets done. If we have to pay slight overs then so be it. Seriously when was the last time two players of Taranto and Hopper quality nominated the same club and got traded there in the one off season??? Probably never. This is fantasy type stuff.
If we have to give them pick 31 AND a player like Soldo on top of the First rounder…then personally I couldn’t care less.
As a matter of interest, here are the pick 31s of the last 10 years:
2021 - Brady Hough
2020 - Liam McMahon
2019 - Charlie Comben
2018 - Luke Foley
2017 - Baley Fritsch
2016 - Joshua Begley
2015 - Ryan Clarke
2014 - Daniel Howe
2013 - Malcom Karpany
2012 - Kamdyn McIntosh
We are in line to get two proven elite mids about to enter their prime years for the next 5+ years. You pull the trigger on that everyday of the week.
Yeah. If Scoop says it’s 110% happened, then it’s happened.
So GWS wanted a HUGE grain of salt to get deal through ?Reports on twitter it’s done.
No details and a HUGE grain of salt.
The defections probably to be expected given it's a soulless place, the fact they don't give up former first rounders for nicks exceptional trading, often getting deals done with interest. The total opposite to Gold Coast. Not sure on that bully for a club with so many top line picks they go backwards every year not forward chopping and changing the playing group hasn't led to nothing I call it poor management yes there is the go home factor I see more mismanagement.
Yep. Future 1st plus Soldo and swap of picks.Reports on twitter it’s done.

Hopefully it's 31 into the twentiesYep. Future 1st plus Soldo and swap of picks.

They currently don’t have a pick in the 20’s.Hopefully it's 31 into the twenties
That's not good news I'm afraid, I think we can put a line through Lemmey, Knobel might just sneak in.That would be fantastic, but reckon its going the other way.
That seems about right but I think we get a future pick in return instead of the two picks on the 60’sSounds like generally a pretty good deal all round.
Hoping for something like F1, Soldo and 31 for 44, 61 and 63. GWS don't need any of those late picks so won't value them highly. They have offered a future 3rd for Bedford (which Melbourne should take IMO).
Jack said he wasn’t playing on for the money He was probably on $800k in 2020 21, $500 in 22 and will go down to $300 in 23.I am sure they were happy to take a cut to bring in Hopper and Taranto but I am not so sure about paying someone who isn’t even on the list.
Is a Monty for a gig in the media. Presents well.Jack said he wasn’t playing on for the money He was probably on $800k in 2020 21, $500 in 22 and will go down to $300 in 23.
He is then going to start a career as a journalist making 3 times as much.
He wants to sing at another grand final!
What are you guys smoking. Why not throw in a few other future picks just to make sure everyone is well disposed towards us and the hacks in the media willThat seems about right but I think we get a future pick in return instead of the two picks on the 60’s
Seems a lot to me but not sure it matters of you deduct 30 or Soldo from the deal. Having Soldo or pick 30 won't affect our future at all.Done deal Soldo will go to GWS future 1st and pick 30.
