Only way we can do that is if we trade one of our players for a first.

Suspect it might take both our first and second round picks with a swap of later picks to get it done

I've been thinking it will be something like 12, 19, F1 and 30 for Taranto, Hopper, 39, 57 and 59.

Unless we trade players of enough quality to impact picks. It will take all of 12, 19, 30 and future first.

Be amazed if less than that.

Risky in the extreme, I would only sell the farm for an established key position player, Hawthorn tried this strategy and failed miserably.

the media hate us, as proven by the meltdowns to us getting both Hopper and Taranto. They want us to pay big so are speaking cap. IN july Sam Maclure said Collingwood could get both Taranto and hill for pick 14.

What knee issues did he have in 2022? Hopefully (if needed) surgery already done.. Same with Torranto, I hear he too had an assortment if issues over the last few years. These lads on BIG $$$ on LONG term contracts need to make an immediate impact. Fit, healthy, ready to go ! (if the deals get done)

Word on the street is that Geelong will get Bruhn and Henry for peanuts and we will pay through our nose for Taranto and Hooper. Hope this is not correct!

We’re mad if we haven’t asked the question of Henry. I’d near let Hopper go if it meant getting Henry

That sounds about right. None of those picks are near the really pointy end. It's a bit of a crapshoot after pick 10.
The Cats coughed up THREE first rounders for Cameron all late picks. Doubt they have any regrets.

That's entirely understandable given the lack of quality forwards available, Taranto & Hopper aren't even the best two mids at GWS.

No more riskier than an untried kid.

Lets not forget we arent giving away a top 5 pick where the risk is mitigated if going through the draft.
