Nope 5th or 6th after tomorrow's games and just one game ahead of ninth.

Spot on as is the unsustainable notion of playing five small forwards & creating endless pressure.mrposhman said:Rioli needs a week off, no AFL or VFL.
Yawn!SCOOP said:Lost all repeat efforts defensively.
Looks exhausted. Still a massively exciting project.

Could still hold 4th. North will be Freo (doesn't impact us), if Wet Choke hold on to their flat track bully names and beat Port by a small margin then they will go level on points but lower % and Carlton IMO could beat Melbourne with their 3 best mids out of the team.

It doesn't really matter if we cling on to a top 4 position or not at the end of this round. The way we played tonight we'd be hard pressed to win another game.
Let's hope it was just a bad night and the boys can bounce back quickly

Our depth is incredibly shallow.
Been cooked for 10 weeks Baron. Shown little and the selection committee led by the esteemed Dimma should be held accountable!Baron Samedi said:Not sure about that, Dan's already shown his wares. Pretty obvious he's a young player who's cooked.

I was saying his value wouldn't be deteriorating IMO. We know the ceiling and it's damn high.
antman said:He's a second year player, struggling with workload right now. Hopefully gets managed for a week or two. He'll be a gun yet.

Won't get dropped as he lives with the coach.
Bullarto Tiger said:Yes, you are right, Tiggy, but Rioli needs a break. He's lost his freshness and resolve. Seems that the weight of the game style has dragged him down.
Rioli is a very special player, make no bones about it, yet he is still developing and maturing and in need of some guidance and respite. A match or two in the VFL (maybe even a week off, "managed") might help him regain his zest.
