Welcome to the Tigers - Connor Menadue

His speed has saved him and the reason Moore is also staying.

They are jettisoning the slow players

Stengle, Towner, Lloyd, Corey, Miles and Conca theres a distinct pattern there.

Or no one was realistically interested in Menadue. Conca was offered 2 years by us, we would have been crazy to match the 4 years.

Was 69 kg's when we drafted him and is now listed as 80, he's a good mark and kick and has plenty of pace. I'm glad that it looks like he'll be staying, he has all the tools, a few more kg's and a bit of believe and i reckon he can be a good player.

Remember on that draft video in 2014 Blair H stated it would take 3-4 years with Connor. He has just had his 4th so now is the time. He has the wheels and the skills, just hope he has the desire

Can he put on another 5 kg? He still looks weak in the contest at AFL level imo.

He should be our version of Mitch Duncan / Issac Smith, but he more like Aaron Fiona / Greg Tivendale

Cant argue with that.

But Tivva at least played over 100 games and actually got the football.

I hope he can, he's put on 11 kg's since we drafted him, even 3 more would be beneficial for him.

Have to agree with a lot of this post, damnit. He looked pretty Duncan/ Smithish in the games he got in 17, fast, evasive, broke tackles even. Nowhere near that this year, looked slow, moved robotically, got caught. If he wasn't in an acre of space he was terrible.

I'm with Blair.
Yeah, with the clearing of the decks in Conca, Lloyd, Miles, Cellis, Townsend the time is ripe for Connor to step up.

The kid's got great speed and has nice kicking skills. Nice mark too.

Needs a psychologist to address the mind wobbles like fumbles and slowing down to a walk approaching a loose ball. Also some brain fades in decision making from time to time.

His last VFL final he did some terrific things and then some decision making errors were gobsmackingly bad.

I think it's mostly in the head for Connor. Maybe a clutch of games and some continuity in the firsts to build belief is the key. Will never be 100% comfortable with him in a tight game though!

I was until this year. Was awful.

He was a disappointing this year after showing a bit at times last year. I thought his best game this year was his last game against the Cats, i don't know who he went out for, but i thought he was ok in that game.

Needs to train with Shed and Dan Rioli over preseason. Get him to work on his hands and decision making entering a contest.

Rioli is a gem at timing his entrance to a contest to maximise his exit hurt factor.

Just got excited for 2019!

Those are good attributes. It's a shame he can't get the pill. Goes missing when the heat is on.

Quite frankly he has been very disappointing. He's had ample opportunity to claim a spot but has never stepped up. Very lucky to be given another opportunity.

Well summed up Lamby.
