Even with the ball, he stops and props, slow of mind.
Geelong went through the middle to bypass our elite defenders positioned in the vast spaces of the ‘G, and Menadue happened to be defending ground in the middle. That’s how Geelong scored many of their goals. If we have a slight gameplan weakness defending long down the middle, then we don’t want someone like Menadue defending that weakness.

So by placing Graham in that hole, and preparing for Geelong’s counter method (other teams will copy), we can close up a little loophole in our defence before finals.
