Welcome to the Tigers - Connor Menadue

Played a lot deep for a running wingman, one of these kids MUST step up, rather Markov if we are looking for a runner who also plays deep forward.

Why, not good positionally, not super quick, not super skilled and fumbly. What's so bright?

he's quick. he has good kicking penetration. dunno where this "not skilled" business is coming from.

attitude problem right now for mine.

needs to mature and we'll have a player.

Looked lost when up forward and didn't see him use his run in the middle of the ground. First game for year so could be just nerves but with the heat on for spots in the team I don't think he will be there next week.

Would be a bit harsh to drop him after one game, kicked a nice goal. Long term needs to put on some weight.

I wanted to see if he had put any decent size on. Appears to be a work in progress. Jury still out for me.

Didn't look too lost when he took a nice contested mark from outside 50 and dobbed it ::)

Isn't he the kid who when selected the recruiters said he was 2 to 3 years away from seniors?

He's got the speed and skills. He'll get there.

PRE lovechild.

Has tools but miles off the pace.

Fair from convinced he makes it.

Don't think he's a lovechild.
I thought he started really well against Brisbane. Faded out though which was disappointing.
Should get another week to push his claim.

Not AFL standard right now. Has he even dominated the VFL?

He's not even that quick so you can't use the pace argument for justification playing him over Miles.

Has shown very little. I hope he proves me wrong, but i reckon he'll get exposed badly against the crows.

The problem we've been having with Menadue since he was dropped last year is that he's paint-by-numbers. Almost work-to-rule.

He hasn't played near enough to the edge. Not enough risks. Not enough frenetic. He's frightened he'll make a mistake.

I thought he took a step tonight and I expect him to keep his place. Importantly he ran out the game. He's finding the level.

When we get his head right Connor is going to be the bloke who runs the length of the ground with a minute to go to find space in the goal square. We did get a glimpse of his best with that roved ball from Jack's hands that he put through to... Rioli? Quick thinking. Risky. The *smile*.

Connor is smart. He'll get there.
