It is. Also likes to get on the end of a passage of play and kick a goal. I will be looking for gut running both ways out of him.
That's the key isn't it MB, run hard both ways.

I'm not as excited by him as much as others are, however he has tools that suit the modern game, I'm hoping he can have a real influence tommorow as his opponents won't be any stars and for us to improve, guys like Menadue have to beat this type of opposition.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Report on vfl by some watchers was he was disinterested and not running both ways. They can't be accurate given his selection.

Personally think he's the most overrated player based on PRE hype. Has speed and not much else IMO. Maybe will be suited with other speedsters around.

Not a replacement for Lennon, I imagine caddy will spend even more time forward now.

Perhaps that was his instruction from the coaching staff

Yes, this is a key to Menadue and why I like him as a player. Many of the times he has scored for us has been because he has been on the end of forward movement and I like that sort of player. It shows that he works and runs hard.

I like him a lot as a player and to me he has the capability to be our Isaac Smith type. It's a role I think Oleg Markov can play as well.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Menadue, Markov and CEllis all in the 22 later in the season.

I'm very interested to watch Connor Menadue back in the seniors today.

I don't think he took being dropped well. Last year. (I like that.) His magoos form was paint-by-numbers. He seemed to be always in exactly the orthodox position but rarely doing much when there. A patent lack of frenetic.

It was when Fly gave him a start at the CBs that the real Menadue appeared. He was off the chain, winning the ball and running with it.

I don't buy any of the let-them-play-PR *smile*. Our players are instructed within an inch of their lives and rightly. Connor has been struggling with that IMO.

A note on Connor's disposal last year. It was off. I've seen enough. It was exhaustion. He can use it.

Today I hope to see him in the right place at the right time. But manically. Running with the ball or at the man. I hope he's got enough gas to pick and find targets.

Connor for Lennon is a big up for us runwise. I hope the young bloke can do the job today. I like his proletarian attitude. I like him.

Looking forward to the run that he is going to give us, he uses it pretty well by foot too.

Another who's kicking is average.

Absolutely packed his dacks in the last quarter when he had to stand his ground and take a mark deep in defence and didn't even get a clove on it.

Should be dropped for that effort or lack there of alone.

Would be a bit harsh to drop him after one game, kicked a nice goal. Long term needs to put on some weight.
