Welcome to the Tigers - Connor Menadue

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Spot on. And Rioli, Castagna, Markov, Drummond and CMoore all similar types waiting in the ranks to develop, learn and grow. Short has already gone to the level required. The thing is the club has learnt; these guys have the athletic attributes required for the contemporary game, but being all good athletes, they need time to build their bodies (see e.g. Blicavs). Moore's kicking is an issue; just hope we have someone who can alter it constructively! (But Rance was a very ordinary kick at first too).

It's not all bad; the list has a future.

What? How good is this kid?

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Massive mistake - needs to develop some composure

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Overrated by many in here. Long way to go.

Has composure. A mistake. Just like the dozen or more we made in the last. Very good game from Connor.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Easy to criticise for a couple of mistakes but overall surefooted, a good kick and a bit of vision. Getter better all the time as is going to be very good. A good re-signing by the club

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Doin most things right, in time will be in the game a lot longer. Got burnt a few times too

May have got the handball stolen by the Bont, but he went hard was taken the game on and trying to create when the heat was on.

Runs hard. Gets tired. He was immaculate early and waddyknow? He turned it over late.

Child. Worldbeater in time.

Agree with all of that. Fit as a fiddle too. Saw in the last (just after he made the mistake for the goal), he was on the far side under pressure, handballed over his head, he was then the one competing for the very same ball that he had just handballed, then he went back and was competing defensively. 3 really good efforts at such a late time in the game. Once he bulks up a bit he is going to be really really good, doesn't to bulk a lot, up somewhere around higher 70kg's and better core strength and he will be a really good player for us.

Was pretty good. Great disposal skills. 8 tackles too, most for the Tigers.

Yep.

The best thing for me though is that he makes mistakes, then goes again. A competitor.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Yes he made a mistake but made it trying to create and make something happen.

It was great that he tried.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

The mistakes he made have been made by most of our experienced players all year. Chaplin, Vickery, Hunt have all made worse and are supposed experienced players. Kid shows some good dash and skills. Will be a player in 2 years time.

least of our worries

Agree. Haven't seen any improvement. Maybe if he puts on size. But can't we wait another 8 years?

He's got football standards, josey.
