Welcome to the Tigers - Connor Menadue

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

He was very good in the last quarter last week, wasn't he, Olds?

You saw his first three quarters, didn't you?

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Crazy he's not in at the moment.

McBean, Menadue and George should all be in.

But Dimma says we've gotta pump games into kids like Vickery, Hunt and Moore for 2017.

Agree, but then again if he is learning some new roles and playing some good footy at VFL then it may be to his benefit long term.

He got a good run of AFL games even when his output was minimal.

CM's big task now is to get some kg's on for next season. I am sure he will be a starting 22 player next season.

Yep, 4 games to go, and we're playing him in the reserves so he can pick up disposals at will.

Funny you get the feeling ATM he will get better developed playing for mcrae rather than dimma

Not so much the McRae v Dimma debate, but if they want Connor sharpening a particular skill etx under game pressure, then it's ok to do that in the slower pace of VFL than afl.

I assume that's right, I never played at either level.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Also we know what Menadue can bring to the side. So we could be using the final games this year to trial someone else like Marcon and Moore and see if they can offer something.

Re: Welcome to the Tiggers - Connor Menadue

Connor wasn't ready for promotion. And now he's dropped. He should stay with McRae until he's ready.

He's travelling, it seems. Not playing at PRO.

I think Son of Sarah will profit from time in the twos. He's not educated yet.

Might not have racked up the stats in the second half, however think his made big strides in his entire football make up this year, I like his balance of winning his own ball and running to receive now. Definite starter rd 1 next year

He is certainly named in the ressies Jack

I don't know his stats, CC. (Usually I know that about a player. I'm not sure why I haven't checked.) They'd be handy at VFL level. He's a 21 disp, 2 tackle man, I guess. He could be 40 and ten.

I think the discipline and encouragement of the junior school would be good for him. Next year - if he doesn't learn in the off season. (He has a lot to learn.)

Broad is rash. He needs one style of coaching. Lennon lacks belief (bravado is for those close to an unpleasant realisation.) Corey Ellis is fully self aware. (Props.) But Menadue resists.

Just between you and me, who would you rather lose? Corey Ellis or Connor Menadue?

I think Menadue may be more suited to the speed of the modern game, I like Corey's boot and I think his got genuine footy smarts and in the right team he could be a weapon.......photo finish, developed print, dead heat ;D
