Welcome to Richmond Chris Yarran

My opinion only. Aish does nothing for me as a player and I am comfortable we didn't see him as required. Just a player. Treloar on the other hand is a gun. I wouldn't give a 3rd rounder for Aish

Just on this Bully. You were also all over us chasing then trading out of the draft for James bloody Aish last year.

So bit of revisionist theory here.

Not trading out of the draft completely, Collingwood gave up a second rounder and Seedsman, not such a bad deal. I'll concede Aish seems to have stalled in his development but I would have traded Lennon for Aish if the truth be known. Treloar is the player I was keen on and would have been willing to trade two first rounders.

But my point still stands, why give up two players when you can get a similar quality player for free. I honestly don't think Yarran is vastly superior to Suckling, others may beg to differ but in the wash-up, the Doggies have picked up Adams & Suckling for a sum total of pick 35 in the draft, they will also get a decent player in 2016. Conversely we have given up a similar pick and also what will probably be a top 25 pick this year for zero games thus far. Who is looking like the smart list manager?

Champion data disagrees, Top ten in kick rating the last 5 years.
Lies, damn lies and Champion Data.

When I was at uni I tinkered with the idea of becoming a psychologist. But the stats, the shmats, I couldn't give a rats. Drove me away from what might have been a glittering career *smile* with people's heads. (Now it's just a hobby.)

Anyway, Suckling's not a bad player. For a cat. But he does kick plenty of cover drives that squirt out to square leg.

I'm glad we didn't get Suckling. Just a player, and would attract the PPP (premiership player premium). Happy to pay a premium to attract genuine quality. Treloar, Hurley etc.

Ummm yes it was mate.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-10-22/aish-a-pie-bastinac-a-lion-in-threeway-deal

- Collingwood received Aish and pick No.34 and 53, and gave up picks No.26, 28, 47 and a 2016 second-round pick;

So basically:

- Traded down in rounds 2 and 3 of the 2015 draft.
- Traded out another 2015 2nd round pick
- Also traded out it's 2016 2nd round pick (which looks to be pick 20 to 25).

Also for James Aish who is an outside slow vanilla plodder. We gave up less for Yazz who is miles ahead as a footballer.

Actually after reading that it was worse than leysy first thought. Not even you can defend that trade Bully.

No you're right, that looks pretty horrible on paper. Wasn't impressed with Hine's draft selection either, massively speculative.

Still think Aish will turn out better than Lennon, that would have been ideal in the scheme of things.

I like the Seed. Suited our needs as well. For the price paid, I prefer him to Yarran thus far. Return is better. I floated him last year as someone to chase. We miss the classy cats.

That's my favourite post of 2016 so far. Psychology, square cuts and Suckling. Superb.

I'd rather give Suckling a decent sized contract over giving a good pick for injury and attitude plagued Yarran. All day, every day.

Time will tell who is right and who is wrong Barnzy 'ol son.

I don't know if this is true but I have been told that Chris Yarran will not come back this year as his foot injury has flared up again. Again I don't know if this is true but that's what I've been told just thought I'd share it with you guys

That's awesome news!!

However until it is officially announced I will take with a grain of salt if that is alright.

Would have been a free agent next year, that should have been our play. The whole concept of other club's poaching him shouldn't cloud common sense, we now look like fools. This raises more questions about our medical department, I'm starting to have my doubts.

Wouldn't be surprising. I predicted that just the other day on the Blair thread.

He went from listed 4-6 weeks last week on the injury list (was 6 weeks rd 1) to TBC this week by the way.

Tim Watson reported yesterday that Richmond can't put a date to Chris Yarran's return at VFL or AFL level, after initially predicting a Rnd7 comeback.

Just a really dumb football club
Yep dumb, dumber and dumbest. Hartley, Jackson and Richardson. Through in the king of jokers Handbrake and you can see why the club is once again a laughing stock.
