Last couple of minutes, front on contact, holding the man, head high you could raffle any penalty as Bolton kicked to top of the goal square, next play in the pocket head high contact, bloody silence from the umps. That last quarter was as bad as any I have seen this year, we can win the contested ball and possession and still lose the FKC.

Dow doesn’t have a head. Some clear high tackles but play on. The HTB against Taranto at the centre bounce late in the game was a disgrace. That happens 20 times a game and it’s never paid and hasn’t been that I’ve seen since they apparently tightened the HTB rule.

Yep. As per usual any questionable free to us is called out and questioned by the commentators. I can’t believe they were suggesting crows should have gotten a free when Ryan hit a pack and the crows defender fell forward. They were calling in the back!

Yes. And the thing is there are rubbish decisions all throughout the game that costs goals but it's always that last rubbish decision that apparently cost the game and is discussed relentlessly for days in the media. The Saints/Gold Coast game was one of the worst umpired games I can remember.

When a team is - 77 at the halfway maek of a season you know they are getting reamed by a lions share of the rubbish decisions.

PS I've seen lots of players run more than 15 metres with the ball this week. Not an issue anymore as it hasn't influenced the end of a game.

I meant to post this myself on the Other Games thread myself. Yep, Ginnivan has really trained them up in excelling at this. Also others like McDonald and even Day l think.

They admitted it was a mistake, but said no action at all will be taken against the umpire. I assume that means they won’t even ask him to be more careful in the future. What a great gig, you can as many mistakes as you want and be completely unaccountable. They’re paid in excess of $100,000 a season for this.
