They blew the whistle at anything that the Bulldogs copped.
Lynch gets pinged for holding when anti vaccer held him every time he moved.
The dropping the ball was a joke all afternoon.
We were given. 009 seconds but once again they had minutes to get rid of the ball.
Those 2 free kicks in there foward line in the last qtr were a joke.
wow, watching the syd port game. Just saw a sequence of play in the centre, 4 blatent throws, including a full scoop, by sydney midefielders to each other. Ugly.

The issue with the frees against us are not as much the amount but the timing of when they are given and the part of the ground. Last qtr 2 gimme free kicks that werent there resulted in 2 goals for the Doggies.

Yep, and the rules allow for a free kick if a player "disputes a decision of an umpire" but questioning is not disputing a decision. Dissent does not appear in the rules as published by the AFL, not once.
As we see so often, the way they apply the rule, well, the way they sometimes apply the rules, bears no relationship to what the rules say.
It is a joke.
If they want to award a free kick for dissent, then write that into the rules or don't pay free kicks for just questioning. Asking a question is not disputing a decision. In fact, dissent is not disputing a decision.
Typical dishonesty from the AFL, they just make it up as they go along and have no problem with the umpires doing the same.

Me too, means we don't have to read the drivel. It is highly predictable anyway: decisions are always correct, sun shines out of the AFL's rear end etc, repeat ad nauseum.

It actually made me feel better about today. At least it's not just us getting reamed. The umpiring in the last 5 minutes of the second quarter was diabolical.

It's not the free for push-in-the-back that pissed me off. There were hands in his back. He wasn't pushed, he flew early and milked it, but the hands were there. That's just a rookie mistake. (Mind you Rance got crucified for once doing that in a stellar career.) It's the one before, that was paid by the non-controlling ump 70m away, against Baker that no-one could explain. That's why the ball was there in the 1st place.
And the free against Balta for "unrealistic attempt". Balta looked aggrieved and asked the ump why it wasn't "tunnelling"? I think it was a fair question.

I enjoyed both Vlas and his opponent ignoring the ump and playing his mark. They knew.

Jeez it would be good to be on the right end of some 50 / 50 decisions. The last time I remember that happening was the 2017 GF before everyone including umpires started hating us again.
Coniglio is owed an apology by the AFL and the thin skinned umpire who penalised him last week then lied about him to cover their own backsides. Bet he won’t ever get it.
