It's the right call. It makes him more of a champion. Selfless till the very end. Hail. 1 of 1. Put your Kazoo's out.

Love this quote by Trent...

"I learned the power to dream big at Richmond, to say why not me. Why not us? And why not now."

I went to his 1st game properly wouldn't hsve gone if it wasnt for him. A really cold satdey afternoon and i walked away from a loss with a grin knowing we have a quality kid on our list.
I once gave up my park spot for him and his family at chaddie because i like him.
Pity the media have there heads up there ass's again.
'Triple tiger captain calls time'
Where's CHAMPION?

I spent half time in the dunny trying to warm up my hands.
I would be interested to know what the temp was on that day. Because it could've been the coldest day i spent at the footy alongside a night game against Sydney at the G in the 90"s that was arctic cold.

Glad the right call was made, for everyone.

Amazing career, early days I found him to be a complicated character and hard to get a handle on as a player, then he emerged as a great on-field leader, one you could always rely on to win the hard ball and stand up in the big moments.

The photos of him lifting the cups will live on longer than all of us.

Pleasure watching you play Trent. Had leadership stamped all over you from the beginning. Used to watch as you stood at the entrance of the players race and as all players came on to the field, you would stand there and slap hands with each player. And you weren’t even Captain then. Tough and uncompromising attack on the ball. Triple Premiership Captain. Brownlow Medallist. A champion of this Club.

An honourable mention to the Carlton football Club for tanking in the Kreuzer cup and ensuring we got you to the Tiges.

Early in his career he scooped up a half volley and turned on a dime on the members wing....knew he was special.
The 2017 EF goal against geelong, crushing Mumford and setting the tone.....just so many great moments (wont mention the Ace Frehley outfit!....)

Thanks Trent

So he won't play this week (calf) but hopes to next week. I'd say if we lose to the Saints and can't make the 8, he'll announce Norf as his last game. He doesn't deserve to go out in front of those Poort ferals with everyone reminding him of kicking into the wind.

The other nugget I took out of his presser is he said his kids have the same kamikaze approach as him, which was music to my ears.
