Some sites still say Cotchin hit Shiel on the jaw yet all evidence shows that he hit Shiel on the shoulder / chest area with only a secondary hit on the jaw primarily caused by Shiel dropping his head slightly at point of impact. Speak for yourself ... he spoke his mind about what he thought about it and he was right, Cotch didn't have his arms out to pick up the ball. Cotch was a little bit lucky that he wasn't rubbed out, just as Shiel was a little bit unlucky to get concussed.

Chocco was shafted by the club last year, so to have his support is pretty remarkable really, he was extremely bitter about it and his coaching career is now pretty much shot.

Not to bitter to be using punt Rd oval facilities , to instruct American combine prospects the finer points of the game .

If it is now illegal to simply go harder at the footy than your opponent, it's become a sad state of affairs in our game.

Found it interesting on 360 that Alan Richardson was supportive of Cotch but Chris Scott, who wouldn't be at all bitter, had it out for him.

Chocco Williams, who is also an impartial voice in the debate, talking about Shiel being cheated out of playing the prelim. If he was cleaned up off the ball or if Cotch had eyes for him I would agree but, FFS, Cotch saw footy, wanted footy, went harder at footy and got footy. Case closed.

Cotchin didn't even look at Shiel in that contest. He just put his head down and went straight at the ball. Protected himself if doing so and contact was incidental. Shiel just didn't go as hard as Cotch. Simple as that. If those two losers can't see that then they shouldn't be commenting on the game.

As for Chris Scott and all his crap; he can get stuffed as well. Went on about how much respect they showed Adelaide after the game. No mention of the complete lack of respect shown to Richmond after we pantsed them by a similar margin 2 weeks earlier. And of course the 2 sycophants Mince and Yobbo have never called him on it.

Why not just state your case and if the panel come to a different conclusion so be it, leave it at that.
