Training For 2023

It's not just match sim. It seems to be longer sessions and extended (20 mins continuous) of circle/surge work and then match sims. And 3 days a week, Monday, Thursday and Saturday. From my limited viewing it comes across as more training and different workload patterns. My gut feel is that loads are higher.
May have been a take on review of slow start to ‘22 campaign

Interesting to hear juddy pressing hard for a spot , gonna give selectors headaches as not sure they anticipated this one , liked what I saw of him in his brief senior appearances no surprise he’s stepping up

Pickett in the middle could be a sign of 'about bloody time!!'.

Maybe the players in rehab are just niggling injuries and we're just being a bit paranoid in not testing them out too much?
My feelings exactly, find a problem at all costs.

If today was round 1, then tigers wouldn't play again until round 5,that's plenty of time, the pessimistic views are amazing.

Are these soft tissue injuries just pure back luck or poor management?

I'm going to say bad luck, however I did express some concern after the camp that we seemed to have been a bit down in intensity thus far and my concern was if we ramped up hard, as we must at this point, the soft tissues could come.

Hearing about Broad and Castagna today certainly makes my concern deeper but I'm a long way away and speculating so I'm sitting with bad luck. For now.

I would rather have them now with another 5 weeks to go than later in the season

The club should've made an offer to Rob Innes that he couldn't refuse after the Grand Final last year.
Soft cap buddy. When you've got the (deservedly) highest paid senior coach in the league, and you bring in two former senior coaches (Teague and Rutten) as assistants in successive seasons, there's only so much of the cap to go around.

The days of headhunting and picking the eyes out of the best off-field staff are over, as long as this current soft cap is in place. And hence the advantage of wealthy clubs like us, West Coast, Collingwood, Hawthorn etc has been diluted significantly.

@caesar Just a thought here, you have mentioned some close finishes in match sims thus far, have we been splitting the teams up in order to get a tight finish so we can work on that area? Our close finishes in last 2 yrs have been terrible to say the least. 4-9-2 in 18pts or under games for last 2 yrs, 1-7-2 in 6pts or under games.

A couple of things, we should never have let him leave in the first place, he's that good. And the other is, **** the AFL and their soft cap, if we go over the cap, pay the tax/fine.
